  1. Ok I will let him know. Haven't seen him but will give him the info thanks!
  2. Yes this gp is crazy. I'd love to see it in person
  3. That's cool you do the fiberglass work yourself I've never tried it. As far as a tune are you planning on tuning it on a dyno or go with a shelf tune like overkill?
  4. Nice are you doing the fabrication yourself or are you hiring out? Are you going to keep the original engine? Interior mods?
  5. Goddamn that's nice. What else you got goin on with her?
  6. It is not my CompG in question, rather someone I work with. He had purchased a used 03 GP GTP from an elderly couple. This last week his wife had drivin it and said it was knocking rapidly and when she pulled up to a stop light the car had stalled and died. It had started back up and she drove it to the nearest parking lot and left it afraid to drive it further from home. They had it towed to a shop and the mechanic said the engine was blown. But it started back up after that. Oil was clean and fresh. No aftermarket mods on the car. They dont beat on it. So i was stumped as to what the problem was. I was leaning towards the timing being bad or the balance was off. What are your thoughts?
  7. So yesterday my wife was looking at cars for sale on the interwebz, she found a very beautiful chieftain for sale (obviously way out of my price range). Anyway it got me thinking, if Pontiac were to come back (or never got shut down in the first place) what would the chief look like today in a new model. Would it be boxy and boat-like from the past, or would it go the way of the times and become slender and sleak? I know a lot of youse guys and gals on here play with Photoshop and what not. I would very much like to see what you all could come up with, and what your opinions would be on the classic!
  8. Welcome. Nice collection. Have you owned any others, other than the current line up you've got?
  9. Pull the l26 and put in a l32 with an eaton m90 260 hp right off the bat. Iirc that hp is based on bhp not whp. Or get a tuned pcm from overkill a lot of people on gpona swear by them and I plan on it this spring. 3800performace.com is great.
  10. I didn't know if it would be too ricy lol. Still doing replacement interiors, just wasn't sure if i would want to match the outside.
  11. First off, what does everyone honestly think of them? how many of you have them?
  12. Goddamn that ride is gorgeous. Not over done just right! Welcome fellow gtp owner.
  13. Welcome to the site. Really cool holding up Holdins name. Cant wait to see the mods list!
  14. Not to change the subject jim, but have you ever thought of having some sort of page here for how many models are registered on site (go as deep as a compg) in sub-models?
  15. That kid in the background talking at at the end 15k into the Silverado. What did he put in there?
  16. Yeah i would say your tsat is gummed up. You will have that with dex!
  17. There is and no damage, it just seems warmer to me because ive always had smaller v6's. I know it normal just trying to find different ideas on moving the heat out of there, car runs great and so does cooling system.
  18. Yeah I'm just not used to it, ive only had 3100's they obviously never got that hot.
  19. I think its funny that everyone one is paying attention to gm, yeah they knew about it, but now there is a civil against ford for there rear hatches being made of junk material and ford new about it for years. Toyota has had serious issues with the sticky gas pedal, much more dangerous. Maybe if drivers ed would teach these kids how to handle this shit like losing power then it wouldn't be so bad.
  20. I did some checking on the web and they are just for looks, i want to do a coolant switch soon, its got dex in it (not from me) flush it out and clean it. Its not so much the engine is getting super hot its normal temp, just under the hood, i was thinking vents, but i don't want to cut on the body that much. Also i know that there needs to be a certain amount of pressure for the radiator to function properly.
  21. Those sensors suck, i wouldn't pay no mind to them imho. Yes the factory wheel bearings are horrible. I had a 98 Malibu do the same thing.
  22. I was thinking that but how hard are they to put on (never done it)
