  1. Different take on "barn find", lol! Way cool and unique Firebird- have never seen another with that engine/transmission combo at any Pontiac show I have been to. I will have to join the choir in this thread and echo the " keep the OHC6 and three-on-the-tree" chorus. You will want to contact PHS and get a copy of the original factory invoice of your 'bird. http://www.phs-online.com/services.htm You will then want Mike Noun to make you an authentic window sticker. http://musclecarfilms.com/PontiacWindowSticker Can't wait to see your progress on getting this rare 'bird on the road... keep us posted with lots of pictures!
  2. ok...full disclosure here...this is not my car and I have no idea who owns it, so... if that disqualifies this picture, I understand and I'm ok with that. I took this picture at a recent Pontiac car show, it is a hood ornament on a 1930 Pontiac.
  3. I really like your '73 LeMans, Pauk... big fan of this not often seen body style. You have a lot of great pictures in your gallery, there is one i particularly like, did a little photo editing. Hope you don't mind, beautiful car!
  4. Is this more like it, 31 pontiac?
  5. Wel, It looked very professional- there are some beautiful custom pieces in the engine bay that can't be seen in the picture. The interior is as nice as the exterior. Sounded REAL good too.
  6. ...was at a local car show today, and a guy shows up in an LS powered Hyundai Genesis!
  7. Beautiful verdoro green Firebird 400! After you get your PHS documentation, you will want to get a reproduction window sticker. Mike Noun makes the best, most authentic window stickers. Part of the package that PHS will send you, is a copy of the original billing history of your car. Send Mike a copy of the BH, and he will make a sticker that will look just like the one that came with the car. Here is his link: http://musclecarfilms.com/PontiacWindowSticker Verdoro green is a great Pontiac color and on '67-'68 Firebirds in particular, it is very striking. I enhanced your photo slightly- this is probably more accurate of what your 'bird looks like in the sun...
  8. Here are a couple of videos that might help identify your blocks. There are two stamp pads on the front of the engine block. On one side you have a nine digit number that starts with a "2" (for Pontiac) with the remaining eight digits being the last eight numbers of the cars VIN. This is a pic from my late great GTO... You can see they match the last eight numbers of the VIN (highlighted in yellow)... The pad on the other side of the front of the block has the engine production number and a two letter code that identifies the engine and the transmission (manual or automatic). Mine was a "WS" code for 400 HO/manual...
  9. Thanks man! On JUSTA's photo, I used a combination of Lightroom and Snapseed. Snapseed is a photo editing phone app that I got the distressed border for the picture. I then did all the final editing on my laptop using Adobe Lightroom. There are a number of good photo editing phone apps- I prefer Snapseed, it's powerful, has a great number of photo editing tools, and it's free! The cool thing about Snapseed (or any photo editing app) is, you can take a picture with your phone, edit it on the spot, then post it in a text, or facebook, or whatever. It takes a little practice to really get the hang of it, but well worth it. Here are some before and after iPhone pics: Straight from iPhone... After editing in Snapseed... Here's a more dramatic edit. Straight from iPhone... Snapseed edit (little crop, slight rotate ccw, brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness adjustments). This edit is more what the sky actually looked like that night... And you can get all artsy-fartsy also. Before... After... I apologize for kind of taking over your post, JUSTA.
  10. Great, timeless composition, JUSTA... this picture could have been taken over 45 years ago! If it was, it probably would have been shot with a Polaroid instant camera and would most likely look something like this now...
  11. A lot of nice Pontiacs... great pictures, thanks for posting!
  12. Nice pictures, Rick... great Pontiacs and great airplanes!
  13. Love the pictures, Fred... a lot of great Pontiacs!
  14. Great pictures, SPRINT 6. Rare cars and even rarer airplanes (FW 190, P-64, Mosquito)... wish it wasn't four hours away.
  15. My friend's '68 Camaro- he did all the restoration work himself, body work, paint, upholstery, engine, suspension... everything!
  16. Aw, what the heck... here are some non-Pontiacs.
  17. Thanks, JUSTA. It's a "10 footer", lol- any closer and you'll see all the cracks, chips, paint flaws, uneven gaps, etc. But she's a blast to drive! It is a beautiful blue, alright. I'm picturing Lucy that color in my head... nice!
  18. Not many Pontiacs show up at the car shows and cruise-ins where I live in VA. Here are the only Pontiacs at a car show I went to today that had over 80 cars. That ratty '79 Corvette showed up again...
  19. ...saw your T/A at the Roy Rogers cruise-in tonight, but I couldn't find you!
