  1. Not much, probably taken her out 3 or 4 times this year… still haven’t installed the passenger side window. I did retire this spring, so I got that going for me.
  2. Black Beauty is lookin’ good, Frosty!
  3. Love all the pictures Frosty! So glad to see your TA is up and running again.
  4. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I will get it fixed eventually, but for now I will only get her out on warm sunny days.
  5. Well... I keep my TA (Raven) covered in my brother-in-law's barn. He keeps a .22 rifle in the barn (so he doesn't have to go back to the house) to shoot unwanted varmints that prey on the chickens. For safety, he keeps the ammo in a separate location than the rifle, in case a grandkid comes across it, it is always unloaded. Anyway... a couple of fat squirrels (he loves to cook up squirrel) were in a tree by the barn, He loaded up the rifle and had the safety on. He doesn't know exactly how it happened, but as he took the safety off, in the same motion, his finger must have slipped to the trigger at the same time, and it fired. He was bringing the gun around when it went off, and at that moment it was obviously pointed at Raven's passenger side window. You know in movies, when the good guys and the bad guys get into shoot outs in cars and the bullets make holes in the windows?... um, no. That window shattered into 20 million pieces all over the interior! I used a roll of quarters vacuuming out all that glass at the car wash, and I am still finding pieces. My brother-in-law felt REALLY bad. I told him please don't worry about it, you let me take up space in your barn with Raven that you could use for farm stuff and you don't charge me a cent! I am so thankful it didn't go off pointed at your foot or, heaven forbid, someone else... the window can be replaced.
  6. I can only dream of having enough hair for a mullet! Raven is ok except for the right side window that got shot out.
  7. Glad to see you planning to get your TA back in the road after all these years. Think you will have it done in time for Charleston?
  8. Unless you put a ton of weight in the nose, you need them or it will pull itself out of the slot at launch. 🏁
  9. Decided to dip my toe into a new hobby... slot car drag racing! There is a hobby shop a couple of towns over from where I live that has a scale 1/8 mile slot car drag strip. There are a dozen or so hard core racers that race there each weekend... real nice guys (and gals!). I watched them race and they were kind enough to let me try some of the cars, decided I had to build one. There is no kit, you just buy a model car kit (for the body and decals), a bunch of parts and solder and glue it together. It went together pretty good (except for a few bad words and the time I wanted to throw it across the room, lol!). It ran ok, but I kept throwing the pinion gear until one of the guys showed me how to properly solder it on the motor shaft. Anyway... here are some pics of the build, it is a Pontiac of course! If any of you all are into slot cars, please feel free to post them on this thread.
  10. You may have a unicorn there, with the two-tone paint trim option and monotone paint.
  11. Frosty... I’d love to meet up with all y’all MI FP friends some day.
  12. I would love to experience this event someday. Thank you for posting all these great pictures, JUSTA!
  13. Congratulations Frosty.... I know it will be a first class garage when you are done,
  14. Thanks Kiwi! It was very laid back, lots of folks stopped by and asked me about the TA, It was nice to get out and socialize and talk to people you have never met or will see again... all different ages, colors, ethnicity, etc. Just good on good, far different than what the news would have you believe. AS far as the camera, I brought my good old Sony a6000 with my 18-105mm zoom lens. It is my go to combo for events like car shows.
  15. We like pictures at FP. I took my 1981 TA "Raven" to our first car show this summer. Seems like something has come up every weekend this summer and haven't been able to attend any shows. This is a show was in Middletown VA . They have it once a year, main street is closed from one end of town to the other, and the show cars are parked on both sides of the street... had to be over 200 cars. Anyway... I took a ton of pictures and created a slide show of many of the cars. Raven is the first car, then all the Pontiacs, then the rest in no particular order. btw... The white 1970 GTO Judge had a twin turbo RA V motor. I wasn't able to talk to the owner, but at the very least they are RA V heads, you can tell by the location of the exhaust ports in the picture of the engine. https://app.photobucket.com/u/us_strat/a/2071723f-f20a-4730-9740-fb6097f5b8ac?mode=slideshow
  16. I am so sorry, my prayers go out to you.
  17. Thought I would start this thread for the folks out there in Forever Pontiac Land who build models. We all love pictures here at FP, so post 'em if you build 'em! Two years ago I got back into making models after a 40 year hiatus. I'm not very fast and am easily distracted, so I have only built four models in two years, lol. This is my latest build... It is a Cessna A-37B Dragonfly from the Vietnam war. It is painted in the colors and markings of a VNAF Dragonfly of the 520th fighter squadron at Binh Thuy during 1970.
