Yeah alt pulley was really warm. Pulled the belt, no squeaks. Tightened it up and covered it in belt conditioner, no more squeak lol. I drove her up and down my driveway and in the adjacent school parking lot. Still fun to get the rear loose on the gravel. Still drives like the day I parked her. Engine oil is still full and clean too. I also burned off most of the old gas. Starts up right away now. I popped the top on the brake master cylinder. The front reservoir was still full, but the smaller, rear one, was empty. I have brake but only on the last bit of the pedal. I put fluid in it but nothing happened. Thoughts?

I'm gonna remove the alternator belt and just run the engine with the fan belt and see what happens.

DETAILS WILL COME SOON! But heres a little something for you guys.

I did an A/C delete two years ago because the pump clutch never engaged. The only two belts are the power steering and the fan/alt/crank. The power steering belt was cool but when I touched the alt/fan one it was hot.

Killed the battery in the Phoenix trying to start her. Put it on charge, came back, dumped a crap ton of gasoline in the carb and tried again. Ran for about 30 seconds and died. Did it again and she finally ran on her own gasoline. Blowing smoke out the back, gas in the tank is pretty old. I wanted to warm the engine up for a oil change. The belt that runs from the Crank to Fan to Alt is sqeaking bad now. I loosened it to see if the Alt was resisting, but it still spun freely with a flick of the finger. Whadda suppos it could be? Fan hub? Are they sealed bearings?

Super A pump is rebult and seems to be working fine now. The donor transmission is on the bench, half-disassembled. The trunk of the Phoenix was cleared out and she was put on jack stands for Operation: I don't know what the fvck I'm doing.

TC pump, taking apart the donor rear end, and finding where the brake line leak is in the Phoenix! Father is gone for the week so that means no pesky cars to take up driveway space. SO MUCH ROOOOM

Saw it, Thing was kinda beat. Exterior was in good shape, interior was fair. Was missing the 2 center vent caps and the shifter handle looked worn. Definitely a 160K car. Not interested. I figured it would be like that, but still wanted to look. I'm going to try to sell a few of our tractors and bump by budget to $5000 and see what I can get. I want another Pontiac, I already put my foot down on that one. I see a lot of Grand Prixs come up like mine in the $3000-$5000 range with mileage from 77xxx to 120xxx. I don't know where else to look besides craigslist and sometimes on the streets. I did find an 08 GP not too far from me. Same base model as my 07 with 99xxx, but its that charcoal grey (one of my favorite colors) I'm going to look at that one next

I found the ad on the computer (was using phone earlier) and its got 160k, yikes. I think its an 07 not an 08 because I believe the 08 dropped the manual, right?
