  1. Has anyone played The Crew? I got it for free when I got my EVGA GTX970 SC grapics card.
  2. I originally thought that too, but no. I did further research and found out that that o-ring doesn't go anywhere haha. I need a pressed seal on my pump, the newer version has an o-ring, so I ordered the wrong part. The pressed seal goes in from the face and into the bore on the left piece. That flange is part of a Speedi-sleeve that someone put on but never took off. That stupid flange is what ruined the original seal because it sits tight against it and rubs as the pump shaft spins. I noticed that when I put it back together and the shaft was a sonuva-bitch to turn. It was an instant red-flag. I had to get creative to remove it lol.
  3. So I was sitting in my room, staring out the window looking at the Phoenix, covered in snow and forgotten, having returned the plates months ago. Suddenly I remembered the rumble of that little 305 that always puts a smile on my face, and the times when I would romp around in it like an idiot, doing jack rabbit starts at every stop light. I got this urge... I had to tinker. So, today I found out I had a dead battery, go figure . Jumped her, but I disconnected the jumper cables and she ran for a minute and puttered out and died. Tried to start again, dead. Battery holds no charge. Gonna get a new battery, do a oil/fluid change. Throw some seafoam in the gas and vacuum line, put air in the tires, then parked her out of the snow and in front of the garage.
  4. Not really my car, but yesterday i pulled the tractor into the garage to get some work done. I got myself a 75,000BTU Kerosene/Diesel torpedo heater heater. Temps were in the negatives, and that heater is a life saver! I started working around midnight and stopped at about 2am. I had to pull the hydraulic pump because it was leaking hyd. oil into the crankcase. The pump is driven by the timing gears so bad seals will result in a leak into the engine oil. I cannot for the life of me figure out where one of these Orings goes. I'm guessing it goes into the bore for the pump shaft, but I don't want to put it back together and have problems. Anyways, working in a warm shop is GREAT! I can't believe I didn't get a heater sooner!
  5. I just looked at my tires on the GP today. The front ones are as bald as perhaps one of the older members of FP . This is what I get when I don't rotate my tires. The rear tires still look new. Now in the snow I have crap traction haha. On top of that I need to get the wheel bearings replaced, radiator flush and possibly new thermostat. Of course now this winter freeze is in effect and I have no warm place to work. Couple weeks from now I'll be watching over the farm while my boss is on vacation which means I have access to his truck (2004 Ram 3500 dump). That also means I'll have a very large shop to work in. Fingers crossed! Hopefully my car stays together until then!
  6. I disconnected the battery and let it sit for a while. TPMS is giving me accurate readings again and wipers are working normally lol.
  7. Grand Prix is all screwed up. Wipers aren't resetting back down and don't stay synchronized with the delay setting. TPMS is yelling at me. Wheel bearing is also yelling at me. DIC just told me "Charging System Failure". Thermostat is stuck open.
  8. Oh god I forgot about this hahahaha
  9. I've had like 6 cups of coffee. I'll be slamming F5 on my keyboard on this post until I see a story or my finger turns to a bloody nub.
  10. Sad to see it go, but take pride in the fact it was well taken care of and will go onto a loving owner!
  11. Thats how I feel about the Phoenix. Everytime I get in that car its like I'm in highschool again, making that daily 20 minute commute from my rural town into the city.
  12. Welcome to the site!!! Pics would be awesome!
  13. What was that car that did that? The Hyundai Veloster? It is weird lol
  14. I'm late. But I love this hahah. I also want a Farmall 460, not in pink though Heres what I can't stop listening to right now: >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL1oRFCPE9E
  15. Okay, so CE light went off and the temp climbs normally now. I didn't even do anything yet. Wat.
  16. Would a radiator full of crap cause this sort of issue? I popped my cap and it was full of brownish-red crap. It was a film that came off in chunks and broke into pieces in my fingers. Not sludge, but not rust. I picked up from radiator flush.
  17. Well this is my daily driver and I work 6 days a week 730am-430pm literally I wake up in the dark and come home to the dark lol. I only have Sundays to do anything. The Phoenix is no longer registered so I have no spare. I don't have time to f*ck around and mess something up.
  18. Yeah im 99 percent sure my thermostat is stuck open. Is this a easy DIY thing or should I bring it to the mechanic?
  19. Got the code pulled. p0128. Engine Coolant temp is always low. Weird. The car warms up reasonably. I've never had an issue with it not getting warm lol.
