  1. yes me too mate ! cold any day for me, but to a limit!!! haha
  2. For the last 3 winters i have been trying to get myself a couple of Milwaukee heated hoodies for work, and every year i miss out on what comes into nz and its all pre-ordered !! ( i am too slow!!) last year i managed to get 1 hoodie and i have saved that one as "best" for rod runs and other dress up times where i need to stand out side late into the night. Last year our local Milwaukee agents suggested we do an order early ! like october 2021 ! early !! today ... may 13th 2022 we got my 2 hoodies and 2 for the boss !! i will get them embodied with our company logo next week, but for today i wanted to trail one out !! i hate being cold! thank you Mr Milwaukee !!
  3. you so have to tell us about your build!!! this is impressive!!
  4. wow, now how can i get my hands on 50 million litres of that $1.50 gas ???? that would be liquid gold in nz !!
  5. i found a company that makes a controller for the trans http://www.zerogravityperformance.com/product/tcm-2650-mechatronic-transmission-controller-6l80e-6l90e-6l50e/ and one that does a shiftier ! https://paceperformance.com/i-23836432-gmp-7613-6l80-90e-floor-shifter-assembly-with-tap-shift-control.html and this really good thread form Fitsy world ! ( ozzy) https://www.torqueup.net/2020/05/03/vt-vz-6-speed-auto-6l80e-conversions/ and if i have not bore you stiff by now, here is why i am looking at doing a 6L80e to bop swap, these new transmissions are way better than a turbo 350/400 https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/transmissions/automatic/6l80
  6. different ends of the planet but your paying over 3 bucks a litre of petrol like we are!!! 😡thanks Putin ! hahaha hay Jason , hang around the forums mate, we have lots of interesting topics and i have been having a ball building my 64 with all the help around here!! there is years of experience which is justA invaluable !! and you have done such a great job of your 68 ! and great that it was your dads car !! i trust you use the car all the time and are clocking up the s miles!!
  7. I am with frosty Dan !! Middle finger to the tree huggers gas is going to be around for long time ! Build your car mate ! And enjoy ! While there’s no cash flow , do the things that don’t cost any thing ! Make up templates for brackets out of cardboard or simply draw them up and put them aside do your internet research on what you want to see go into the car , things like what shifter , wire loom , dash gauges sort all that you want and heck ! Price all the parts . I have a white board in my workshop and on a Friday night I grab a beer stand and look at the car and write on the white board my plan of action for that weekend ! If I don’t get it all done the next list starts where I left off , it also helps plan for what parts I need to get during the week . if I need bolts , paint etc I pop into the supply shop while driving around doing my days work and it’s all there for the weekend🍻🍻🍻🍻
  8. Ah that DOES sound like a faulty switch !!!, but you should be able to find another switch that will do the same job @30 amps
  9. Thanks for the lead mate, any one else seen our herd of a kit ???
  10. wow!!! she sounds bloody nice Jason!!!! i will take note of your build specs for my 389!!! what muffers are you running ? good to chat to another part kiwi !!! i see from the video you live in a really nice part of Alberta 👍 bet you can make as much noise as you like living there !!!
  11. i would pull the console to make it easier to get your wires to the back
  12. Mike, 10 amps sound a little light for a oil pump for a rag top !. but that justA tells me that somethings wrong with your hydraulic pump that its drawing too much current. Del ( Bonneville convertable64 ) has 2 64 rag tops and i was hoping he would see your posts and get back to you with his thoughts .... i will pm him . In your case i would take it too your auto sparky and get him to load test the hydraulic motor that drives the rag top. i dont think its a switch issue.
  13. wow!!! that is one cool 51!! you certainly had your work cut out for you doing work on a custom mate! i can see that big console in the middle, clearly some one didnt think when they put the fuse panel in the middle of the car ! i am with you, stick it under the dash left or right so you can get too it !
  14. Jag, the butler performance kit that you have , whats it like to drive ??? is it like a lumpy cam around town or smooth ?
  15. yeah and they flow justA as good as headers do !!, 2 1/2 inch outlets
  16. Has anyone fitted up a 6L80e behind a Pontiac or any bop motor ???
  17. yes they are super hard to get, i waited months to get my ones !!! certainly worth it 👍
  18. hmm, you may need to use a relay and take the current load away from the switch itself
  19. Ah you wont regret using these Clearcrow !! i have them on my 389 and i am super happy with how quiet they make the engine bay and heaps of room around them for everything else!!!
  20. The boss calls it her Library and it will have book shelves etc, we where visiting her parents in their rest home on the weekend and called into a antique store, and came away with 2 1890 french Walnut chairs for the room...... more brownie points for me!!! chairs for her, what a balanced life i have !!!! hahahahaha i think i could change that door/window at the front into a roller door and get 2 more cars in there !!!
  21. you could consider getting the parts Hydrodiped ! i did this with some parts and had them done in carbon fibre look, came out great !
  22. More progress yesterday , roofers turned up and roof is on ! Last night we got the first rain in over 6 weeks !!! now that’s timing 🍻🍻🍻🍻
  23. This wont be done yet as i think i will get it legal and then change the system.( i dont want the powers to be, pointing at my master cylinder and saying "oh thats not stock" !!! "you will have to get that certified" ) once the car is road legal they will never look at it again, but i know the upgrade will make the car safer !! What i will do is i have to go through the exercise on the mk1 cortina, so i will post else where on how it works on that car, it has a singe outlet master cylinder and i have a datsun 120y - 180b dual master cylinder coming from ozzy for it that is configured disc/drum for that car
  24. its 1 inch Andy, same as the stock one but with 2 chambers So front chamber feeds the front slave cylinders and the rear chamber to the back slave cylinders mate, and if the back brakes lock up before the front i will add a adjustable propositioning valve to the rear brake line and adjust so the front gets more fluid than the back, but i should not have to do this as its a drum/ drum master cylinder with equal amounts of fluid going to both front and rear. and remember, my front drum brakes are bigger and that should make them work better than the rears. well thats what i expect to happen !!! hahahaha
  25. It Shows in the detail i can see well done, and a bloody hard job to do in your garage without making a mess everywhere !!
