64 kiwi boni

You will recall i have upgraded the 64 with her 389 to a brand new edlebrock 1906 carb... and then i found that my stock air cleaner wont fit !! the bloody new carb is 5 and a bit inches and the old carter was 4inch and 3 what evers !! sooo, i was thinking out side the square and thought i would find a latter model air cleaner and chop it up to make my stock one fit... then i found this ... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/fuel-systems/listing/4123689044 as base, i can weld into my stock air cleaner !!! What i like about this base is it has that sexy curve !! so the air flows down the throat ... most after market stuff is flat base, no thinking about air flow... the bulge makes for a nice curve for the air to flow down into the carb.... see!! sexy as aye ! So what does a kiwi do ? hit buy now ! i will up date when i get the base and show you all what my plan is... super simple yet cool, because i really want to keep my stock 1964 air cleaner on my stock 1964 bonniville..

Soo hanging out to get this 63 in the shed and pull the body off the frame to see how clean it is !! plan is to get time this weekend !! and if i do, i can make a list of chassis related parts i will or wont need, it came with lots of new old stock parts.... The weather down under isnt flash now, super cool, so all work for me will be in the shed and i am still having issue with breathing so i best stay warm or the boss will bang on about me being out in the cold

Nononono !!! our local power coat guy … Peter .. he does a great job but every time I see him his face is covered in dust … I wonder what his lungs must look like !!! 🤢 I have some spare bumper bolts if you would like them ? The 64 has that big steel strap inside the front of the bumper too … have no idea why !

This flash place we are staying in .. 3 rooms down there is a guard out side … really didn’t think much of it till the daughter saw some posts on the web . some actor by the name of Jason Mamoa is staying here … crack up is he was posting videos in the car park with our hellcat in the back ground !

I remember when the guy inspected the Ram .. he checked the lights had the right markings in them . And that was it … then it went for its warrant of fitness and they just ran that high/low beam machine past them and that was it !! Hahaha interesting how each inspector has their own take on the laws !! my mate is building a 59 nomad wagon and they have pulled him up in using global west suspension !!! the whole lot has to come out as it’s not approved for use in nz !!! Bloody crazy .. he is going to be out of pocket for over 10k !!

Here in NZ Pete . Anything over 20 years old doesn’t have to be converted And 500 special interest cars are allowed in each year in lhd configuration hence my hellcat 2016 was able to stay left hook .

I do read on the web how some head lights can be adjusted , yet others need to be replaced clearly both my ones didn’t need replacing . I am seeing my new certifier shortly to go over my build plans for the 57 so I wil ask him

No Pete lefty. And it has a dash very much like my 64 …. Lots of chrome . Gauge pods to the right of the speedo that looks justA like yours I know the Chevy dash your referring too as I used to have a 61 impala with that long dash

Part of the bosses birthday is a trip to Auckland …. And a feed of oysters … and lamb ribs …. And we took the opportunity to check out the new Wahlburgers .. sooooo I just had to have a beer and pickles Staying at a flash place in the viaduct . So I bought a brand new hellcat . It was shipped to nz . They adjusted the head lights for left side of the road . And they are perfect ! my 1995 Ram . Came off a ship from California and I adjusted the head lights and they too complied . Not sure why they had you change yours . I haven’t changed the 64 either . And they are fine . Very odd
