  7. so true wrongway, when i started rebuilding mine, i thought it had been bent when the jaws of life had been used on it... you could see the cut mark ! from when it had crashed i guess. certainly oval same here!!! i have a collection on my beer fridge hate when i get double ups, or they dont put a magnet in the box !!😡

  11. I personally love them!, not only do they look great, people have no idea of what they are.... AND my 64 has the best brakes i have ever had on a drum/drum car. ( my 59 caddy brakes are not as good as the 8 luggers! ) mind you, i have completely rebuilt themincluding painting each drum and hand polishing each blade

Good spotting Russel, i only found out yesterday myself that the caddy made it to nz hot rod magazine!! my mate pete who owns the superbird txt me to say we both had cars in there! been a few years since one of my toys has been in this mag, i used to do writeups for snow run back in the day and got paid for it !!!,,, that was a few moons ago !!! i love the tee shirts!!! i even got them for my grand kids its a cool pedal Russel!!!! you will never find another one!!!!!

  14. bloody cool Paul It brings me back to when i was 21... i had a chevy 61 four door pillarless, 327. and glide, it was a soo cool car to cruise with all the windows down... my girl friend at the time, loved to ride it... and she did enjoy being naked in that car for some reason ! it still makes me smile.. details withheld due to fp family safe policies... gotta love memories!

  16. I am with you on this one wrongway … I have had more than enough holleys .. they. Are a pita when you want to change jets , power valves that blow … needle valves that stick .. every time you want to work on them you have to dump fuel everywhere ! kinda like how you don’t with the edelbrock I think you need to visit me again and take my 89,000 mile 389 for a drive with the edelbrock avs2 on it … you may want to go home and hit buy now on one ! . I was certainly impressed with the night and day. Difference

  19. Russel . I got home in the dark, pissing down with rain…..AGAIN . But here is my 57 gas pedal … its in the Ruff now. but watch this space... both that gas peddle and brake pad will have a whole new life
  20. yeah mine ones a avs2.. i do like it, never had a edelbrock before and they are soooo hard to get down under locally, i had to go with e bay and that one came from speedway motors !
  21. Paul , I replaced my carter with the edelbrock 1906 … best move ever !!! Car drives and gets up wayyyy better ! I can even do one wheel skids now !!! watch out !!! Your stock air cleaner won’t fit !!! Check my 64 rebuild thread for what I did to it
