Bought an extra set of GTO hood scoops and had them cut and powdwercoated. Finally mounted them up today. Hopefully get some fresh and cooler air in that motor.

Look good. How bout a full shot of the front of the car so we can see all :D

I can do that but to get far back enough to get the front end you wont be able to tell if the scoops are open or not sir. Ill still give it a try for ya!

Forget the whole front end, Rocket... take an artsy-fartsy picture like this one. You will probably want take it when there is more light out because I took this at dusk and you can't tell if Black Betty's scoops are open or closed. :naughty:   (She's just a big tease... they're always closed.  ;)  )

Love your new open scoops btw.

Thank you stratman. It really is hard to tell if yours are open or not. She sure does show well in black though.

They look great buddy. One question though. The picture shows no grille in the scoops. Are you going to have some sort of grille in them to prevent flying debris from getting in there?

Nope, I figure they are too small to let a bird or bat in so I feel I'm good at this point. In my experience with previous GTO's with this mod I haven't had any problems so far. I may have worried If I had the ram air pans and open scoops in a heavy downpour.

OK - that makes sense to me;

looks good man. easy to cut?

No sir, have to use a die grinder to do it. Time consuming and ya eat a lot of metal chips.

Looks great!
