Mt Holly?? Saw Pine Knob makin snow already. smow_zpsa911d928.gif

Yup...Pine Knob, Mt. Holly, and Bittersweet (on the west side of the state) plus a place in Wisconsin are all owned by the same company. This is the earliest they've every opened up. Earliest for me was Thanksgiving Day about 18 or so years ago. Longest season that year too since they closed on March 31st.

Pine Knob's the closest, but I've always been an ALPINE fan.

I'm closer to Mt Holly - about 25 miinutes - door to door. Pine Knob is another 10-15 minutes more.

Oh, how I miss snowboarding...

Oh the hard sacrifices one must make for HAVING to live in Florida!!!!! Sigh. ;)

snowboarding is a PITA!

snowboarding is a PITA!

Ghosty - you have no idea how much evil pleasure I get when I am out west skiing past a total stranger who has just crashed or straddled a tree off to one side of a ski run and I get to yell "Hey buddy, don't you know it's a 50 buck fine for molesting a tree in a National Forest?" and then ski on past him.

Once you get over the fact that your legs are strapped to a board and eventually you are going to break your collar bone on a tree, it is quite enjoyable and fun!

Besides, if you don't go skiing, you don't get to find "ski bunnies". I also don't get to see my favorite color - "tight".
