Forget if we had one of these or not but figured I'd create one... The typical online forum weight loss challenge/discussion thread.

I've been on a running kick as of lately and have been running 5 miles, 3+ times a week. I have not been "dieting" so to speak I have been still eating out, drinking, etc... and I seemed to have managed to lose 10 pounds over the last month with putting muscle on so I thought that I was doing pretty well. I am one of those people who enjoy their food and drinks so I normally just try and limit myself not give it up all together lol and it seems to be working lately.

Not that I was overweight before but I certainly was not where I wanted to be, I am at 161lbs as of today, I would like to trim down a bit more and maybe put on some more muscle.

Anyone else trying to lose weight? Want to share tips? We can do a weight-loss challenge if people are interested.

I have lost about 130 lbs so far. Very strict eating and exercise. I still have a little to go but I am just trying to do it with regular monitored eating and lifting weights 4 times per week and going for walks 5 times per week at 5 to 7 miles. In the summer I bike between 15 and 20 miles three times per week.

I need to lose quite a bit of weight in order to have a hernia repaired. That's a long story which I am not going to tell. Suffice it to say that I need to loose over 50 pounds. I started dieting at the first of the year. I saw the doctor this week. I've lost 16 pounds so far by eating a high protein, low carb diet and portion control at meals. I have reduced my caffeine intake to 2 cups of coffee a day, virtually no snacking at night, a 12 oz glass/can of diet pop per day, drink 2-3 16 oz glasses of water per day, exercise 3-4 times a week which includes 30 minutes of aerobic exercise and 20-30 minutes of weight lifting. I also downhill ski in the winter. I bike and walk in the warm weather.

I on average walk/run about 20,000 steps that and goto the gym ussualy at least 4 times a week. The jawbone up I have is kinda cool for tracking how much you move.

i...do none of that. although i managed to somehow lose 15 pounds.
