Good bye old friend

Recommended Posts

Today tragedy struck me.

I lost an old friend today. We met over 15 years ago shortly after my wife and I moved in together. My Grandparents introduced us. He was there through it all to help plan the wedding. Kept me up through the years of college and helped my wife when she was stuck at home when I took a contract with the military for 3 months.

Later in life he was an asset in the garage. Helped keep me sane through trying to mock up the floors on the Chevelle to the transmission issues that the truck was plaged with a couple years ago. I thought that he would be here to help with the clutch on the Vibe but no such luck.

Last night we spent some time together to unload the motor that I bought for the Chevelle as well as helped me think when I bought the wrong transmission for the Chevelle last year.

15 years he has been a part of my life and a fixture of my garage through all of the work that I have needed done. He was a part of backyard cookouts and kept me outside to try and learn how to BBQ.

He has outlasted friends that have come and gone. The first one up and the last to turn in for the evening.

Good-Bye old Black and Decker coffee maker the shop will never be the same.

Damnit now I gotta buy another one.

Thanks I got a couple buddies coming over and the better half does not want me using the one in the kitchen. These are the same buddies that give me a hard time about having a coffee grinder in the shop.
