Nice. My boy loves the '54 5-window pickups since that's what he wanted me to get last year in Charleston as a "father son" project.

Do these rear wheels look odd to you? It almost looks like the center cap on the right rear wheel is way off center. It might be an illusion or the perspective of the photograph. Still.....

6 Shooter - any chance you can find another shot of these rear wheels?

I checked the pictures in the gallery - none of them really helped. One picture of the car in a burn out obscured the rear wheels. If the car shows up again in another magazine, perhaps there will be better profile pictures.

How's that going BTW? Has Frosty JR convinced you enough for you to get it?

Not yet. He has to live up to his end of the bargain first. Grades have to be steady As & Bs now that he's started high school and he has to work to keep them there without us badgering him. Complete certain daily/weekly chores without having to be reminded. Excel at his commitments like practicing baseball and participating (i.e. earning his merit badges) for boy scouts. So far we have to ride his butt to keep his grades in the A & B range because he gets lazy and doesn't turn in homework that he's done. Constantly reminding him about the few chores he has. Doesn't work on his merit badge or actively participates in scouts but doesn't want to quit either. So there is no truck project right now.

This spring he will be old enough to take driver's training (14 and 8 months). His cousin is getting his dad's Silverado when Grant gets his license. My boy wants the '54 pick-up as a summer toy and a Jeep Wrangler or Rubicon for his daily driver. Good luck with that one kid. I'd give him the Avalanche since its paid for but the wife doesn't want him to have anything that large to learn to drive as his first car. So the Avalanche goes when I replace it.
