I just picked up a 1971 VW Squareback today for $960. I drove it about 30 miles and it drove fine until I parked it and it died as I was backing into the spot. It also kinda burns oil so I'm thinking the oil is low and that's why it died out. I'll go over all that tomorrow.

I got it cause I needed a cheap DD. Plans are to do an OEM+ restore. :D

Lol it must be my rich German background. Or maybe it's the fact that I live in Cali and its just so easy to work on Euros. The Midwest seems to be better for American Muscle.

Washed it up and vacuumed out the interior, also removed the stupid SD Chargers stickers that were on the windows. Took some pics after I was done. :P

It'd just primer, the original color was a dark green called Elm Green. Looked like this:
