On July 27, 2024, the Pontiac Transportation Museum will officially open to the public! This has been several years in the making. I have shared several photos of the building over the years. Construction and renovation continues, but Phase I is now complete.

Figures, the wifes class reunion is Saturday afternoon. :lurking:  Not my class = Pontiac cross town rivals. I end up lurking.

The thing is nearly all day long, surely you can go before the class reunion?

Yes I did call you Sherly too.

I do want a T shirt.  Pit Crew or not.  Did you submit the Dustoff story to them as promised?   Ask about a discount for 3 shirts and using the door logo's.  Couldn't get any better advertising.

I’m confused Sherly.

Do you want a PTM T-shirt or a Roadkill Nights t-shirt? You didn’t mention you shirt size either. I’ll talk to Tim about PTM sponsorship, if I can talk to him. He’s bound to be rather busy.

Want both shirts.....  Will try to be @ the museum round noon.  Can we meet up then?  Indy?  Need to be home 1ish.  Hope the sponsorship works out.  That would be cool.

Actually noon is perfect. I'm meeting some folks from the West Michigan chapter at noon as well.

I plan on bringing out Black Beauty for the event. Lucy is getting sent to Flint Ignition on Monday to work on the no start issue.

Pictures - of course mate! I realize the importance of keeping up on current car porn.

I should be there. in the process of installing my hood.....i hate this process. If anyone is good at this come on over i'll buy beer and BBQ a brisket.

You didn't mark it before removing?   Seems to work for me.  I like to use tape around the washer/bolt.  Easily removed when finished installing the hood.

I’ve also heard of drilling a small hole through each hinge and the hood before you remove the hood. Then use the holes to put the drill bit back through each hinge and hood hole to quickly realign the hood.

this is a good trick that i have never used !! yet !!!

i usually justA tighten the bolts up based on the paint marks !

but frosty has been watching the same channels i have and the pros drill a hole all the time

Alway's cringe at drilling holes, esp in something as thin as the hood.  End up venting all the way outside or at least leaving a nice pea size dent when the bit punches through.  :willy_nilly:

JUSTA, Indyman Joe and I are meeting at the PTM today at noon. I’m also planning to meet up with some friends from the West Michigan chapter of POCI. Good times for Ponti-yacking.

Someone brought a dodge to the grand opening today....a certain dodge now has butt prints on the hood also. LOL

Joe's car is sounding amazing and seems to run very well.  Picked up our shirts driver/pit crew and agreed to work something out to advertize the museum with their magnetic logo on the doors. Bring a Dodge to a Pontiac Grand Opening N ya gotta park down the street.  Happy for ya anyway Frosty.

Damn I feel the love. That’s what I get for texting you guys and asking if you want me to bring Beauty Beauty or the Challenger. Someone texted back “Dodge” so now I’m the dummy!?! Remind me to fart in your Ford and Toyota pick up trucks the next I’m at your houses! And maybe I’ll pee on the seats too! Sheesh!

There ain’t enough glass cleaner left to get the butt cheek stain off the hood either. I think I need some Turd-B-Gone to get the hood clean….and disinfected. Something tells me that Joe was an all-state mooner in high school too.

Are you talking about the self inflicted stains? That requires Whee-B-Gone!

I'm pretty sure that requires moving your settings to heat N pointing the vents properly, and a grape flavor air freshiner.  :clapping:

That sounds about as effective as putting a breath mint in an outhouse.

Silly Snowman,  ya hang a Pine tree air fresh in the out house.

So you are saying that pine scent is a pine tree's natural defense against being put into an outhouse?
