Started repainting the ROHs tonight, started with the worst wheel. This wheel was dismounted recently for a flat repair, so the lip not knicked bad by the newbie at the Goodyear down the road from my house.

Dry sanded with 1000grit paper:

First dust coat:

After two medium coats under teh heat lamp:

Throughout the rest of the month, the other three wheels will be touched up in the same fashion.

Id still suggest using some cleacoat, even so you can have the finish last a bit longer. But thats me lol.

Considering there was 30K put on this paint finish before the season ended, and it was still nice and glossy, I think it'll be fine. :D Clear won't do much when the outer lip felt like flaking off. ;)

Should look into the plasti-dip thing that people are doing.

Meh, I've helped some of my friends plasti-dip some parts. I don't like how it isn't glossy. If I had more matte painted parts, I'd shoot for the look.

Also: 4,000th post. can i haz lyfe nao?

The green's gonna change. The GS stripes will be red, the arrowhead will be black again. And the rolecall on the back window will change a bit.

I don't have the giant Unknown banner anymore.

Yes.

I want the license plate light in LED. As will the backup lights as well.

After that, interior lights will be replaced with LEDs. I just need to verify what bulb #'s are in the dome light assembly and my mirror/map lights.
