This baby belongs to my buddy Bill Muck.  This car has a special history. It's original owner was a SD Lemans but he couldn't have one because of GM's ban on racing. So he custom ordered the next best thing - a 421 HO Tempest Lemans. It's a unicorn. Pontiac never built a 421 HO Tempest Lemans but Jay Effitel's (the original owner) dealer did. The car is thoroughly documented. This car was featured a year or two back in Poncho Perfection.

The Hunley & Boggs nostalgia drag team was there with there 2 old rails, including their 1967 AHRA World Championship car! After the induction ceremony was over, both of these cars did a cacklefest! Nothing is quite like burning nitromethane stinging your eyes!

My buddy Jack just recently took delivery of his 2022 70th anniversary C8 Corvette convertible. Jack is quite the Corvette enthusiast. He owns #153 of the original 300 Flint-built 1953 Corvettes, a 1978 Corvette, a 2002 50th anniversary edition Corvette, and now this one. He also owns a Chevy Apache pickup that's fully restored.

Here are some of the drag cars at the show!

This model of Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick's car has a personalized note to it's owner and my friend Larry Bailey. Larry had Arnie sign it back into 2002. Apparently this diorama meant something special to Arnie based on the note.

I did a little sightseeing in Pt. Pleasant WV. It is just across the Ohio river from Ohio.

It has nice state park dedicated the "Battle of Point Pleasant". It's claim to fame is that it might have actually been the site of the first battle of the American Revolution. It was the first time that native American Indians fought against whites too. The Indians were lead by Chief Cornstalk. Lord Dunmore commanded the British Army and Gen. Andrew Lewis commanded the colonials ("the rebels" as some still loyal the crown might say!). Cornstalk is buried in the park.

Point Pleasant has a more recent claim to fame, it is home to......

Next to this statue and a 1/2 block from the state park is the Mothman Museum. You can Google it! It was closed when I was there. It had another hour before it was going to open and I had to get to Charleston.

Speaking of Charleston....I did make one stop while I was in town.

Me and Abe hanging out.....

Now all four of my personal vehicles have been photographed in front of the WV state capitol.

Interesting point, I work in Lansing and I've never photographed any of my cars in front of our own state capitol. Go figure!

Thought this was interesting, it was on this TV show recently that I watched about this. William Shatner is super extra hosting it: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10098498/
