A few Pontiacs at NSRA Nats East, York, PA

Went to the Nats East today. We’ve been going ever since it was held in Timonium, MD in the mid-70’s.  It used to be open to pre-1949 but when the numbers dropped from the near 5000 cars in it’s heyday to almost half that, they opened it up to a 30 year old sliding scale to encourage more participation.

Although it is not the event that it used to be, there is still plenty to see. Not many old Pontiacs but there were a few “late models” in attendance.

I agree - what a stylish cruiser. The amount of chrome adornments is wild.

Whenever I see lots of chrome, I wonder as to what state the river that flows through Detroit must have been like through the 50s and 60s. Any industrial effluent would have been released straight into the river and with the Big 3 churning out millions of chrome monsters, the amount would have been substantial. Of course, everything's made of plastic now and look what's happened there.
