Ames...Steve is in the fight of his life

Please keep Steve Ames of Ames Performance in your prayers. Steve fell, had a brain bleed, had surgery, and is in a coma.

Steve Ames is the person who started Ames Performance Engineering about 40 years ago. Anyone restoring a Pontiac has probably ordered parts from Ames.

If you have ever gone to Norwalk to the Pontiac Nationals in August, Ames provides the barbecue dinner free of charge to those entering a car in the show.

I saw the same message as JUSTA. I've spent my share of money with Ames Performance over the years too.

Steve has also been a huge supporter of the POCI, the GTOAA,  the Pontiac Hall of Fame, as well as the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk Ohio. He definitely deserves to be in our prayers.

I am sad to report that Steve Ames passed away last night.

Here is an article from 2012 from Hemmings that is a good synopsis of his career.
