i have been working on this ute, i had scored 2 of them ... one went as a swap for the 68 .... which was a great swap the ponti is going be a fantasic car !!!

This is a holden vz crewman s has a v6 and its now tidy, i have had to do lots to it justa to get it back to presentable !! including a new ecu ! that was not cheap !! the thing had been sitting in a paddock for 5 years ! thanks to the fried ecu

lots of stupid things like steering  rack boots, oil cooler, brakes refresh. new radio with backing camera, i bought a passenger seat and used the covers to make a new drivers seat ...that was fun and it look like brand new !

any who .... its only for flipping so i can generate some cash for the 63 amd 68

Must be the Aussie version of my Chevy Colorado. Mine is a 2018. It also has a V6 and an 8-speed  automatic transmission. It’s my daily driver.

Thankfully not. I do have a crummy job but at least I drive something a bit more respectable. Our coaches seat 53 peeps. That looks like accommodation for 6 drug addicts which is probably why it's sitting at your joint!

What's the story with it?

The 90 year old owner wanted me to install a new gas cooker , problem is

the whole gas system in the bus has been done in rubber hose !!! Which isn’t legal

I will have to repipe the appliances in copper right from the bottles to each fixture

and !!! It has a califont inside with no flue off it ! … that will need to rectified too ..

the boss how ever likes it 🤮

So does this technically qualify as “yard art”?

It's a fairly stylish old thing. There are people out there who like old buses and just like old trucks there have been some flamboyant designs over the decades.

90 years old and driving a bus...this is sounding a bit too familiar. Me in 28 years?

I remember that photo and how upset you all were (rightfully so I might add). That's a lot of work to put that Mustang back together. I hope the shop that did the restoration work really did top notch work.

My classic industries and rock auto arrived today …

power steer pump from rock auto … with fridge magnet !!! Which is a first in a long time !!! Last few orders have arrived with zip magnet! While my mate orders f__d parts and gets a magnet every time

my stock pump that i had rebuilt 20 years ago failed as we where heading out  on a weekend long rod run !

i am glad it failed close to home !! like 6kms away ! i man handled it back to the garage and we swaped cars ! if it had failed while we where on the run, that is 3 hours from home , it would not have been fun !!!

anywho

The classic industries order,   new door locks , both the ones on my 72 f body are tired , so I have been collecting parts to do a whole door refresh … so far I have hinge pins , new door cards, new glass, and the new locks . All I am waiting on is a complete door rubber set …

Also in my order is a new mirror glass for my drivers side mirror !!! I am so over looking behind me into a crappy bit of glass !! This is a major improvement as I drive the 72 on lots of long trips

IMG_6158.jpeg

It took me all of 5 minutes to replace the grotty bit of mirror glass !
I should have done this years ago !!!!!!!

Aah - the joy of boxes of goodies arriving. I remember those days - heady, joyful..um, expensive days.

'Should have done this years ago.' How many times have I said that???
