Went halibut fishing yesterday.

i just googled your halibut, its what we have as flounder down here

really nice eating!!!👍

whole fish, coated in plain flour, pan fried in butter and eat it with malt vinegar dressing 👍

 one of the first fish i caught as a kid, :cheers:

 we would use shell fish like pipis as bait to catch them, but yes i bet they like herring too!

Reminds me when I would go trout fishing with my dad and his cousin on Lake Michigan. Nothing quite as big as casper’s Halibut, but 20-25 pound steelhead trout is also good eating too.

When you hook one by the tailfin and wrestle with him for 45 minutes getting him into the boat, you’d think your hauling up Moby Dick. Then you catch crap from your old man and cousin for the rest of the day for taking so damn long......somehow I surprised the urge to make my mom a widow that day.
