According to the local news this morning, the C8 Corvette they have on display this weekend is the same one that rolled across the block at Barrett-Jackson a few weeks ago to represent the sale of VIN #00001, which Rick Hendrick bought for $3M. This car is a prototype and not a production model.

I think this is my ideal Vega dream car. It's actually a '75 with with the '72 front and rear clips installed. It has a 383 stroker. It retains the stock interior and it's a 4-speed.

This particular C8 is a prototype. It is also the very same vehicle that rolled across the Barrett-Jackson Westworld stage in January 2020 to represent the sale of VIN # 0001 to charity which sold for $3 million to Rick Hendrick. That vehicle, VIN #0001, was just built just this past week.
