Can you help identify this Pontiac

I’m not familiar with Pontiac vehicles and was looking for information on this wagon. Can anyone give me direction as to the year, model, and approximate worth.

Thanks

1955 Pontiacs version of the Nomad

Lot's of good info;...

Actually it is either a 1955 Chieftain 860 Series or Chieftain 870 Series 4-door station wagon. In 1955, the Safari name was only used on the upscale 2-door station wagon that used the same roofline as the Chevrolet Nomad.  It wasn't until 1958 that Pontiac used the Safari name on all models of their wagons.  Value is hard to judge, although wagons have had a lot more interest in recent years.

Thanks for all the info.

Much appreciated!

And why I’m asking about value, is because I was thinking of making an offer to the owner so my family can start a neat project car.

Cheers
