Sooo.... went on vacation last week. 2 days before we left, i was in iowa city at the mall with the gf, pickin up a few things. ground's a little wet, but no biggie. i'm pulling right onto the onramp to get on the highway, hit second, just got a litle bit of wheel-hop and BAM it free-revs like crazy.....

i checked both axles, both looked fine, and i could hear some clunking when it was in gear, clutch out, so i thought shit, i snapped my intermediate shaft. can't look because it's inside a tube, so i called a buddy and he brought the trailer out. looong night, was 2am by the time we got home.

fast forward, i'm back from vacation(colorado ROCKS! lol) i pull the passenger axle off on my way to the intermediate shaft, and it seems awfully..... floppy. so i pop the band off, and guess what? i exploded the cage inside the inner joint, but it didn't throw the boot, so i couldn't tell when i checked earlier.... damn. i could fixed it roadside if i'da known that. this is the first GM axle i've broken......

my car hates me sometimes. or maybe it's just reminding me to take it a little more easy sometimes

Popping CV axles is always fun.

Since the J-body is a bit of a Frankenstien, what car do you use to find the CV axles?
