Go for it. Yes you need a tune, yes you need injectors. I cant recall if you need an adapter plate for your tb. You should consider getting a bored out tb to try and match the LE5 manifold.

Yes it can physically bolt on with no problem. HOWEVER, I do not know if the 2.2 eco for the Cobalts/G5/Ion has been able to be tuned yet. Last I checked was a year ago and they couldnt crack the ecm.

Since it will not be obtained, its irrelevant if it would or wouldnt. However, if it was spotted for sale and I had the funds, I wouldnt question if it fits or not. Id buy it and make it fit. If not, I got a rare piece of property.

As far as the Saturn, if swapping an eco in is the option, thats almost as much work as the Fiero. Complete wiring, would need the eco trans, welding, etc. If you go with the wagon, Turbo Twin Cam. Thats the only option really. As for the Fiero, from what I remember there is less welding than you think. I cant even recall there needing to be any welding. But Im not saying there isnt. I believe the 3800 will fit right in the original mounting places simply because the car was originally designed for it or based on it. Same goes for the trans. I support either choice. Another thing. I thought the law was if a vehicle is 25 years or older (or something like that) it no longer has to be emissioned. So if you had your project car finished in 2012, and the car is an 87, I think you would be good.

Dad owned a 2003 GAGT, that orange color kind. Thought it was hell of sexy and at that age I was convinced a speedometer reaching 150mph meant something. Also wanted something 4 door, and automatic. I hunted one of these down. Unfortinately, I couldnt find one for a good price at the dealer. The salesmen recommended me a different car. A 1997 GTP. 4 door, leather, looked like a sweet ride. But I wasnt happy the speed didnt reach 150mph. I didnt believe it was fast. The salesmen said "trust me, this is a LOT faster..." Thats my first Pontiac, my first car. I love Pontiac, but I wont buy another for keeps now that they are out of business... I dont know it just bothers me. Only Chevy now.
