  1. Ohh yeahh! Thats nice, clean to bro! Thanks for showing her to us.
  2. All I'm saying, is we do what we have to do to pay for this addiction they call a hobby.
  3. How mad do you think the boss would be when she realized the donation from FP went to buy new brake light bulbs?
  4. Hey welcome Larry! Got any plans for your TA? What's been done to her? Got any pics, we love pics around here!
  5. Well JG6, That justa sucks. Sorry you had to say goodbye to your girl.
  6. I could and I did think about it. But then it wouldn't match the other chrome. I thought about painting both front and rear black so they matched. Also, I hate prepping chrome for paint! I also hate killing 60yr old chrome even if it is messed up. It'll probably justa ride like it is till I can get a replacement.
  7. I may try that for now Kiwi, but man I have a LOT of blemishes!
  8. Yes that’s way too rich for my blood! I do like the way yours turned out but that’s still out of reach for now. I thought about trying to strip it to metal justa to see what happens. But then I’m stuck painting it black until I can find one or powder coating it. I hate putting it on there looking like that but that may be the only option for now.
  9. Kind of looks like that bro. Nope and I tried a new thinner today and 0000 steel wool. No luck. The last picture is after the new stripper and steel wool. Guess I'll have to find another, for now it'll have to ride like it is.
  10. To add another layer of confusion, I have it outside throwing some more stuff at it. When I looked really closely it looks kind of like the black stuff ate through the chrome. You can see where the jagged lines are and its coarse and when rubbing your finger from the chrome it steps down. How weird!
  11. Does anybody have any idea what this black stuff might be? My first thought was maybe adhesive from something like a reflective strip. It's not tacky, goof off and goo gone do not affect it. I tried a couple old paint removers with no luck. Thought had crossed my mind that maybe it was part of the metal "treatment" back then before it was chromed. But I have no idea, the metal where the chrome is peeling off doesn't look that way.
  12. Justa's right, yall just send me the cars, kangaroo meat and a bottle of your local whisky. I think it'd be safer that way!
  13. Damn, that really sucks bro but at least your ok!
  14. If your buyin, im flyin! I'd love to see Oz on your dime ol'buddy.
  15. Well, the windshields are back in, and Rosey is finally in paint. Here's a couple pics and videos. I'll post more once she gets put back together. Is hard to get the sparkle of the flake on camera but the silver on the roof if chrome flake and the black outline has a dusting of blue flack in it. The paint originally started as a Ford color called magnetic. I adjusted the flop so in the light she's the color you see, but in the dark, she looks solid black. Since it is a custom color, we're calling it Pewter Rose. So named for the color she looks in the day light and her name. And yes, the windows are dirty as hell, that's the first time they've been up in a couple of years F.MOV E.MOV
  16. Here's mine with comp cam and lifter set from when I was putting it together. Offset also.
  17. Thats actually the same set up I'm currently using. I only have a one car garage, but I've got 3 benches on one wall and toolboxes and shelving that fill up the opposite wall. I've got drops at 2 of the 3 benches and a retractable hose reel next to the door. Nice easy system to install with no complaints from me.
