  1. indianmanjoe, I see your reply that you got the info from me thru PY. cool. You might want to consider sending that rally clock off to get the quartz conversion done while you already have it out. My 68 that I used to own had the non quartz and I found myself resetting the time everytime I got in the car. The quartz action greatly improves time accuracy. ALSO anyone looking for these clocks a reminder that the 1968 models will have a blued face instead of a black face like all of the other years. All black gauges and one blur gauge is a no no. lol. Nice looking clock Joe. Todays after work project. So I bought a triple gauge set to mount to the bottom side of the dash. I have the factory rally gauges in the dash but the accuracy and size of readout do NOT give me a warm and fuzzy about my engines vitals. So its mounted but I need a bit more hardware to hook up the sensors to the engine.
  2. Thank you again Ringo, I got the calendar in the mail yesterday.
  3. Ive got other pics of the car in its drag racing hey day too. I think I posted them here already.
  4. Thanks guys, Dennis I'll have to send you some pics that Don took of Kevin's T-37 for a Poncho Perfection article coming soon.
  5. So I was lucky enough to gather with some Poncho fans and friends this weekend at a local car show and it was really all I wanted for my 52nd birthday. One of my good friends Kevin dropped in with his 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. Yes its real, numbers matching, 4 speed Ram Air 3. Restored with nothing but original or NOS parts, its a thing of beauty. The weather was perfect, my GTO is running like a champ, and the time away from "the grind" was much needed. Make sure you make the most of your time with your friends and family.
  6. No bragging needed sir. Your list of items doesn't happen that often I've yet to see a tornado and in 50 years I think I've experienced 5 hurricanes and 4 were in one year. No flooding yet. bugs are everywhere. And you aren't allowed to use the word "devil" apparently its anti christian. They are just the Rays now. Now Dennis? How many years in your lifetime has it NOT snowed? and/or dropped below freezing? How many months do you NOT get to drive your baby? Case Closed
  7. Wade Kawasaki's GTO. He's the president? of Coker Tire. They did a nice write up on the restoration of this car restored by Bodie Stroud a few months back in Hemmings Motor News. http://bodiestroud.com/builds/510-here-comes-the-judge.html
  8. Thanks bud....Lucky month? What else did I get lucky with?
  9. He had nothing but good things to say about you Dennis, for now.
  10. A shout back at ya from Don and Ann. Some Pontiacs from tonight's car show at Quaker Steak and Lube. a 1977 Pontiac Can Am and a 1971 T-37 455 HO. 1971 Pontiac LeMans T-37 455 HO 1 of only 15 built and 1 of 2 with the factory hood tach option. The T-37 above when the first owner bought it with no frills and went racing. and here is me and my wife coming back over the bridge after the show weather in the 70's, nice bay breeze coming thru the windows, a great night to go cruising. No shivering in snow in F L A .
  11. FROSTY!!! Going to meet up with Don Keefe and the gang tonight at Quaker Steak and Lube for a cruise tonight. I hear Kevin Guido is bringing out his ultra rare T-37 455 HO post car. I'll try and grab pics.
  12. I saw the car in person so no cameras, PHS documentation was displayed in the car window. Not sure about the matching numbers as the hood was closed. It was advertised as a real Judge but we also know that fraud is rampant in the collector car hobby. I would have thought the bottom $$$ for a Judge would be closer to $50K as it was in original factory colors as well. Even Pepper Green cars demand more than $35K let alone original Cardinal Red on black. maybe no GTO buyers in the audience. Where and what time your car crosses the block will effect your final price as well but that much?
  13. I guess the point I was making is that no one bid it higher or saw a value for the car above $35K.
  14. Would you believe that at the Mecum auction I attended this weekend that a red 1970 Pontiac GTO JUDGE was a "NO SALE" at $35K ??? I should have waited before buying mine. Car was a 4 speed car in the same condition as mine. 400 but damn, a Judge for $35K? wow. Frosty its so cool that you get the young ones involved in our hobby. Its vital to its survival and would love to see more car owners get the up and coming generations excited about cars.
  15. Picked these goodies up at the Mecum Auto Auction yesterday. Yeah Frosty, come down anytime. Bring SteveA with you.
  16. Frosty you should make a trip down here and meet Don Keefe himself. Hes been to our last 2 Pontiac club meetings and it looks to be a regular thing in the future
  17. Well this weeks project was to get up and wired a supposed rare option on my 1970 GTO. It was optioned with a remote/electric trunk release button in the glove box and none of it was wired so I got to remove the backseat and passenger side sill panels, body panels, and carpet to run the wiring from the glove box to the trunk latch and then power from the fuse box to the glove box as well. I assumed that the solenoid that releases the trunk latch was bad so I picked up an NOS piece from another Pontiac enthusiast website classifieds only to find out that the original in the car just needed a good cleaning to work with no further issue. Install went smoother than usual and I have yet another option up and running.
  18. No not hard at all to change. Its all basically a one piece swap out a few bolts and a cable.
  19. I'm not sure that you can remove or replace the shifter arm as you can on a manual shifter, also a manual shifter arm is round as the dual gate arm is thin and reqtangular so that it moves thru the narrow gates of the auto shifter plate. I do recall that Hurst offered an aftermarket dual gate shifter back in the day and it had a higher and slightly curved arm, maybe you can find one of those on Ebay? or Craigslist as well. Maybe someone here knows where to find one new? https://www.google.com/search?q=hurst+aftermarket+dual+gate&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjRiPDYu-PQAhXGQCYKHWrtCPsQ_AUICSgC&biw=1280&bih=871
