I am close to ordering the rear end complete from QP. https://www.quickperformance.com/9-F...2_p_20386.html One of my questions is about the disk brake upgrade. Specifically this option, Wilwood Dynalite 12.19" Disc With Shoe Style Park Brake [+$450.00] Has any one here went this route? I haven't contacted them yet. I want to know how well it works and if it is worth it. Did you have to change the prop valve? I have factory disc's in front now with factory rear drums. They work fine for me but if it stops better then why not I guess. Second question is the posi options. We drive our car a lot. 10k plus a summer.(before we got our Labrador,she's calming down so hopefully we can take her with us) With some weekends at a 1/8th mile track with a lot of hot lapping. I also plan on running a couple 1/4 mile tracks this summer. With that in mind I am thinking this is the way to go 31 Spline Eaton Truetrac Posi [+$125.00] JD race built the current 8.2 out of a 68 GTO that I will be replacing. Nothing wrong with it but I plan on a cross country trip this summer and if I have any issues I think I can find parts for the 9inch easier if I had a problem on the road. I am also looking to put some sticky slicks on the rear for the track days. Opinions welcomed Thanks Joe

I had a gas station owner tell me its because people on the freeway NEED the gas because they seldom realize oh ohhh I'm on E . And they aren't in a situation to drive around and look for cheaper gas.

Wow! I hate to see classic cars smashed up. Be careful everyone. I drive my car like im on a motorcycle,checking and rechecking all the time. We have this driven into us regularly. It is the smith system 5 rules. It really helps. The always leave an out has saved me Many times,i drive for GE 30k a year at this point. (Not Guitars extreme LOL ) Aim High The first rule for this method is “Aim high in steering”. Staying alert of the dangers and traffic ahead not only avoids rear-end collisions, but it also alerts other drivers behind your vehicle to slow down. The driver should steer and focus their attention high, so as to view the road as whole and not just a few feet ahead. 2. The Big Picture “Be aware of your surroundings at all times” may seem obvious to say, but distracted drivers are just as dangerous as intoxicated ones. Erratic and angry drivers take up a large portion of the traffic we see daily, so avoid major accidents by noticing how other drivers behave on the road. Having the whole picture means that you are doing your part to keep your vehicle as safe as possible while moving 1000ft a second. There are a variety of hazards between your own vehicle and other drivers, and a keen awareness of these dangers will reduce these risks. 3. Keep Your Eyes Moving The third standard of the Smith System asks drivers to remain alert. Energy drinks can only do so much before they cause the body to crash, and any repetitive motion sends us into a trance.
