Maybe the first time you do it but after you learn where all the push pins and bolts are it is a piece of cake.

And Considering the time of the year grab snows for the stock rims and then spring time get some nicer summer tires for the aftermarket rims.

Previously stated just stick with light modding of this car. It gets expensive quick and the results are sub par when you could just buy a v8 F-body and drop a little $$ in and run 1 second faster.

I on the other hand caught the modding bug and learned on this car and I must complete this car but I love it so I think every penny I'm spending on it is worth it. I wouldn't ever think of getting rid of it.

Edit: oh and welcome fellow GAGT onwer!!

thanks Young gun..

Probably gonna stick to the tires\wheels right now, due to the hard winters that New England offers up to us each winter. I just can't wait till Spring to start getting some goodies for her. I just ordered the CAI from ebay. My brother in law has a decent garage that I can use, and its heated, so he will help me set that up, and go from there!

Thanks for the welcome to the GAGT club!

The throttle response gained from the CAI is a little bit noticeable, but the fun factor is high with the intake sound at WOT. They're loud, haha.

But there's a big intake resonator in the wheel well underneath the main part of the airbox. Don't be afraid to yank that bitch out.

fyi Don't worry about sucking in water(hydrolocking the engine) unless you drive through +1 feet of water. My fog light housing on that side is completely gone and has been that way for +1 years now and I've driven with the CAI for 3 years now and driven through some monsoons and lots of snow if absolutly no problems. So don't let other non GA owners tell you otherwise.

JUST DON'T DRIVE THROUGH DEEP WATER. That should already be known. Unless you have a snorkeled jeep/hummer then by all means have fun.

no problem.

Gotta keep the new GA owners on the right path and not end up with ricey bodykits and god awful rims.

ProTip: Beware of Toyota Camrys trying to give your front clip a refresh.

You should take your own tips..

My tip is from experience.

Welcome and Nice GrandAM. Most all CAI are decent....just doen't get one with metal tubes...they can absorb heat from the engine bay and transfer that heat to the incoming air........good for winter driving...bad for summer driving/making horsepower

evening all..hope all of you are well!

having some emission problems with Ruby..

Anyone have problems with "Evap" system causing check engine light to keep coming on?? replaced gas cap twice, had numerous 'smoke' tests, the dealership fixed a cracked canister behind gas tank, car was tied up for 5 days, had the car back 29 hours, and dang light came back on?? going back to garage in morning..most frustrating..

thanks my friends!

Ugh! That sucks.............hope hey figure it out....could be something stupid like a sensor etc...also ...I think on most all GM's, the connection hoses from the fuel evap cannister to the lines are rubber and can crack.......can you smell any gas? let us know what you find out.......

The evap system needs to be under a vacuum. You could have a vaccum leak up by the engine.
