I know I’ve posted this before, but if not; well then here.

I built this working Chevy small block back in 1980. It actually ran in a hand built “69” Z/28 model I built as well. I said it before, I wasn’t very good at taking pictures back then. So this is the only picture I have of any of it. By that time most of the motor was long lost as well as the car, but these pieces remained. As you can see a good friend was retiring. He worked in the engine rebuild department so it seemed fitting to make a retirement trophy out of it for him. If you look closely you can see it was 1991 & you can also see the pistons are still in their bores even though the bolt man is holding the crank shaft. If you look even closer at the oil pan you can see that the main bearing caps are part of the oil pan.
