Friday , port road Whangamata ……

We managed to get a park on the Main Street at 9.30am in orange girl

Then we got to go walk abouts

And then I got to visit Russel’s 57 that’s up for auction on Saturday

And pleased to see they are looking after her !!!

Of course I reported to Russel 🙏

This hk Monaro was for sale for $300k plus … check out the welds on the air intake …. It looks like one of my welds !!!!! 🤐

Then lunch at the whangamata fishing club … snapper prawns bok choy and broccoli

Then some more walking … including a couple of pubs 🍻🍻🍻🍻

It’s the big park up on the Main Street today and 1100 odd cars are expected . That’s justA the entrants … I would have no idea how many more are around that are not entered like myself ! We justA tag along and enjoy !!! And !!!! No rain today !!

It was a side car frosty

The light blue Pontiac Catalina convertible belongs to one of our club members, and he has just put the Rallye wheels on it. He is very chuffed with the look, which I really like also.

i was very impressed with it Russel

what cracks me up is they have 1100 car registered and Pontiac was well represented, but !!! it was the cars like mine that come along to see the hop that must be double if not triple that number !!!

There was a gto justa like justas i saw !!! and he wasnt in the entrant !! i was way too slow and didnt get a pic of it ! FAIL !

I saw a red 65 GP...looks just like mine, except in way better condition. And I love the 'Eighth Sin' numberplate - very clever.

Those 59-60 El Camino utes are just the bomb, aren't they? Both patina'd and looking great.
