Like your plans. The lil chrome splash guards are pretty hard to find anymore. Rubber is not as noticeable. The rockers you save may be your own!

As this is/was rare factory striping option for 69. I would leave it as is. I don't recall seeing this package on 69 Lemans before. I remember it on 67 Lemans/Sprint. The previous body style like my 66 GTO

That stripe was put on by the previous owner to break up the "too blue" theme since both bumpers were body colour and there was nothing breaking that up. The car never came with that stripe, as it would had to have been an actual "Sprint" which had the OHC 6 option. I'm pretty sure you could only get that stripe if you had the OHC 6 underhood. That sprint option was available on Tempest and LeMans from '66-'69.

That's the unfortunate thing; our friend who's going to the swap meet has quite a few of them, though none are for sale, as he has a complete set of four on his '68 Cougar and 2 on his '69 Camaro. But he said he'd look out for them at the swap meet as he needs two more for his Camaro also. As mentioned I really only need two but I definitely wouldn't mind a set of four.
