2025 1st Congregational Church Labor Day Show

Featured Replies

This last day of summer show has always been an amazing collection of the finest cars in SE Michigan. Small show, I believe they can only hold 125 cars (and that is parking in the isles too) This year was no exception with perfect fall weather in the 70's and no clouds. I have missed few of the shows in the last 20 yrs, but was happy to be joined by Frosty 3 years ago. IndymanJoe stopped by with his buddy and the Dirty Girl Lemans. Frosty found some Pontiac treasure in the rummage sale, I got a great deal on some signage and tools from a longtime favorite vendor. While Pontiac is VERY well represented, Had 3 rare Ramblers that were amazing. Let me share some shots from the day.

This split bumper and grill reminds me of the Green Hornet's "Black Beauty". Very well done. Very cool!

Left you plenty to post if you want Frosty.

Thanks Justa. I will post soon.

Here are my pics from yesterday. I say this almost every year, but for such a small car show, the quality of the cars that come out is really amazing.IMG_4744.JPGIMG_4746.JPGIMG_4747.JPG

A dual quad 421....this is a serious sounding quarter miler!

A Rambler wagon with a twin turbo LS. Sweet! What an ugly sleeper!

IMG_4751.JPGIMG_4752.JPGIMG_4753.JPG

I always had a soft spot for these last generation RIvs.

This is a gorgeous 47 Mercury 'vert.....with an LS swap!

For whatever reason, this '59 Dodge Coronet was stunning to me.

Edsel wagon. In past years there has been a nearly identical sedan that parks next to it.

An '84 TA with GTA wheels. Hmmm. Also, how fast is the tricycle in the 1320?

IMG_4775.JPGIMG_4776.JPG

It's called an Ariel. Even the Michigan Secretary of State (a.k.a. the DMV) is not sure how to classify this car according to the owner. It is, however, street legal. It has a license plate.

This '50 GMC COE stakebed "pickup" truck is done really well! You seldom see a COE, much less a GMC COE. They are very rare indeed, compared to Ford and Chevy COEs.

Even more.......I didn't grab an photos of Black Beauty. I figure you guys see her enough as it is. Still a lot of guys came up to me and reminisced about their 3rd or 4th gen Firebird or TA they had in their youth and let get away.

Sweet '50 Chieftain convertible.
