Through the morning hours, it seems some spammers attacked our community. Managing to create quite a few hundred accounts and double that many posts in just a few hours. All should be cleaned up now and we have a few more measures in place to help combat that moving forward. You may have receive a few email notifications if you follow forums that they posted in. I would not recommend clicking any links in them and just delete your emails.

If you spot any spam posts or issues, please let me know and I can take care of it. Thanks all!

Ah the unsung joys of being a web and system administrator! Having to deal with spammers and scammers. I don’t miss IT operations at all!

Ringo , is there a way of getting rid of these pop up adds ? I think we have had this issue before years ago ! I get pop ups at the bottom and now at the top like this ……

I sent Ringo a picture, I had 561 emails that claimed to be from FP!

Gah!! They keep getting me with this and I accidentally turn it on. Thanks letting me know, it should be off now.
