Above is a little bit of our history

the web site has bugger all of what we have done over the years

i went to my first snow run in 1992

it involves cursing to mt Ruapheu in the central north island and haveing a play in the snow ,it’s a ski field and the only one in the north island

we then spend time at local bars and cafes

today we went to a trout hatchery and then a bbq lunch and then off too the pub🍻🍻🍻

then back to camp for more beers

and a band is playing, it’s about 11pm here 🙄

and we just did a fireworks display and managed to set a tree on fire !👍haha

heres some more pics of the cars

Sure did mate

wire with a hook on it got the bugger 👍

I reckon they call it a snow run because it is technically still winter for another 2 weeks down under.

If we tried to do that, we’d still have snow actually on the ground here in Michigan. After all, we are about half between the equator and the North Pole (e.g. Gaylord is at the 45th parallel) here.

yes, would be nice to have snow at the camp but the last time that happened was 3 years ago.

it was a good catch up weekend with friends from all over and i am a bit buggered this sunday afternoon!.:stars:

cleaned caddy and put her away till next event which is shed raid in october.... now thats a real fun day!

but i did just check over the engine and i have a exhaust leak from the cross over in the intake manifold and the steering coupling looks to be pretty sad and its moving about, so i have just jumped on line and ordered a new rag joint and intake gaskets👍... more work for another day.

We did a run down to the mountain this weekend to support our friends who have a camp ground and since the covid bs, and tourism justA stop dead flat in its tracks, these guys have had no income... as a club we went down and stayed Saturday night to give them a little bit of cash flow... so to speak... it turned out to be more like beer flow!!, Bourbon flow, gin flow, wine flow!!:stars:

none the less, big weekend coming up.... starts friday around 12 ish with a pit stop for beers and food half way to Tongariro national park where we are staying.

We are doing a bit of a convey with some old mates that haven't done snow run in about 20 years , so that will be fun, one mate has been building a tourer for the last 20 years and its his first snow run with the new toy, the others are our great mates that life simply got in the way and they justA didnt get the time to come on the run.... back in the day the 3 of us used to party till dawn! ( back in the day) bet that wont be the case now !!! but it will be fun to see them again and enjoy what life has brought us over the last 20 years!!!

pictures to follow....... of the cars! not us!!! hahahaha:cheers:

Also a bit disappointing that all our Auckland mates wont be able to make snow run as they are in level 3 lock down still and cant leave Auckland!! :(

Sounds like fun.   Old friends play a big part in the CAR GUY story.  Havin fun with the mates N enjoyin the car, don't get any better than that!!

I know what you mean. Friends are the car hobby. Without them, you'd have no source for parts, anyone to cruise with, tell lies (stories) over pizza and beer, bench race, drag race, and hang out with. Heck without them, why bother owning the car - the boss will find shit for you to do instead.....which leads us back to the reason why most men die before their wives do - because they WANT to!

Have an awesome time mate! Cheers to everyone there. More cheers and beers that can't be there!

Nice photos! Looks like fun! Love those mountains! Don't get scenery like that here. The highest point in Florida are the garbage dumps
