Pontiac Hall of Fame / Pontiac Preservation Association

For me, this whole thing started with an email I got from Indyman Joe saying another Pontiac forum was looking for people who had a knack for writing, particularly biographies. I submitted my name and what I got back sort of blew me away. It would appear that there is a move to create a Pontiac Preservation Association. Within that Association will be the Pontiac Hall of Fame. A group of us were asked to vote on a huge candidate pool of living and deceased Pontiac employees, dealers, racers, and enthusiasts in order to make up the first Hall of Fame candidate class. Surprisingly, my name was in that initial candidate pool list.

Now the results are in, and the candidate pool has been narrowed down. You can now participate in the voting for the Hall of Fame. Attached is the email I received yesterday. Voting is from April 25/2018 to 5/4/2018.

I have already voted and it was exceptionally easy. I strongly encourage everyone to sign up and vote.

"Our Committee members have recently finished their voting and that means the general Pontiac public voting is right around the corner.  These members went onto the Pontiac Preservation Association website and read about the bio’s of selected nominees. Now it is your turn… We would like for you to do the following easy steps:

1)     By receiving this email you are already registered and your name is on the voting list.  There is no need to register again.

2)     Tell as many of your friends and family about this election as possible.  Think of anyone who is interested in the Pontiac hobby, ie…club members, people who had these Pontiacs back in the day, etc…

3)     Please go and "like" our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PontiacPreservationAssociation/

From there feel free to share the page and our most recent posts.  We need this shown to as many people as possible to make a difference.

4)     If you haven't already you can go to our website http://www.pontiacpreservationassociation.org where you can read about all of the nominees.  I’m sure there are many things you didn’t know about the nominees.

5)     You will be getting TWO follow-up e-mails from Election Runner making it very easy to vote for who you think deserves this award. One e-mail will be for the deceased nominees and another will be for the living.

The awards will be presented to the finalists and/or their family members at the GTOAA convention awards banquet. We will be unveiling the special display at the Pypes Exhaust Car Show on June 30th, then bring the display to the GTOAA convention banquet award dinner. Be one of the first to check it out in person if you can!

Remember… every vote counts!

Thank you!"

I know we have talked about this and it's been brought up at the Widetracker meetings,  but still very cool.
