Rode in a commodore

So friday night I went with my buddy to a Toledo Mustangs meet. It was cool, we got there late, just after they had left, but we caught up and cruised, and came back and chatted. There were some SICK mustangs, and one guy talked to me about audio and is gonna give me a sub and box free.

But anyway after my buddy took me to Ginos, the local Toledo tuners and other car guy hang out, where every friday night everyone has a meet up. He knew I was upset about my gf and was hoping this guy would come by bc he knows how much I LOVE g8s. When he came e pointed and said there he is, he had told me about the car before.

He knows Ray (elctricblueg6gt), but anyway he has a black Holden SS v, and he does not call it a Pontiac or G*. It is a 100% full swap except the radio face. The airbag, wheels, badges, front and rear bumper, everything. He imported all part from crazy paul. It also has a 2800 stall converter, headers and exhaust, varram, and VMS tune. Best part he is a cop, but is so layed back, and loves cars.

He told one guy that he could drive it since the guy let him drive his older vette. He said anyone could ride in the back if they wanted, instantly I was in the back seat. My god that car pulled hard for being on stock rubber. He has one of the lowest 1/4 times for stock rubber, 12.6 I believe. He is on grrrr8.net. It pulled so hard my brain felt like it was compressing. And with 4 people and the ac on it STILL barked hard in second.

I have a couple pics but photbucket is being gay.

Oh, and his daily is a PBM 04 GTO M6 :dancingpontiac:

isnt he missing the tail lights for a full conversion?

isnt he missing the tail lights for a full conversion?

Technically, you can get those tails in Oz too.

BA G8... I mean Holden... ANYWAY, I've seen that guy on Grrrr8.net before, it's a nice conversion.

This is exactly what I wanna do. Delicious Holden....om nom nom nom nom nom.

I love it but I want the true version not a conversion

AMAZING!

Technically, you can get those tails in Oz too...

really? cuz i have only seen these on Pontiacs and not Holdens.

Most Commodores have the normal VX tails, which come on the V6 versions of the G8. IIRC, HSV variations and the SS Commodore have the normal GT tails.

um...pics? kinda confused on which look like what.

Just look up a V6 G8, those tails are the normal VX V8 Commodore tails. Our GT model's tails, they come on Commodore SS models.

Eh...

I'm just going to overnight mine from Australia.

He tried to just straight import one, but customs wouldnt let him. They said they didnt have crash tests for a LHD. So he tried to get the Mid east version(Chevy) but they said they didnt have emissions for it. He was pissed bc its the same car so he went to the Pontiac dealer and said find me one with no sunroof and cloth seats. And they did for dirt cheap too.

holden is about the closest thing to Pontiac still around
