2002 GRAND AM SERVICE MANUAL

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know where I can get a GM service manual for a 2002 Grand AM ?  I can't seem to locate one through normal sources (  I.E. ebay, Amazon ).  Not sure if it only would be on a disc - ordered one & it didn't work.  Does anybody have a reliable source to get one ?  🤔    Please let me know if you have some advice here.  Thanx.

Are you looking for specific coverage (i.e. a certain procedure) or just the manual in general? I have the GM service guide (on DVD) which covers all GM makes and models from 1980 through 2009.

I'm happy to look something up for you but if you're looking to have the manual on-hand then this is where I purchased my DVD copy of the manual from - http://www.drcustomparts.com/RepairManual.htm. Don Rome is the owner / manufacturer of what he sells and have zero complaints about him. Note that on the website I reference above he says the coverage is from 1985 through 2009 but the manual actually does go back to 1980 (coverage in the early 80's, however, is limited).

Depending on how old a vehicle is, often large branches of the local public library carry certain vehicle shop/service manuals in my area.

eBay, Amazon, and Craiglist would be my first set of sources. Swap meets - typically the large ones in your area - might also have them.

Detroit Iron carries a lot of service manuals on CD. I am not sure how current they are though.

Depending on what you want & what you want to spend there is a place called factory repair manuals .com that sells original OEM manuals, the traditional 3 book series for around $280. They are used.

I have found original shop manuals for all three of my cars:

1. 1972 Pontiac Lemans - I own two sets

2. 1986 Trans Am

3. 1994 Buick Roadmaster - both volumes I & II

All are worth what I paid for them. All are used but in great shape except the oldest of the two '72 Manuals, which is coming apart. I also purchased the '72 Manual on CD as a back up.

Agreed! I have all the service manuals for all my cars, even the old ones I don’t have any more! To me there’s nothing like a book to reference! They’re right in my shop, 30 seconds it’s open and I’m in business.
