  1. I was out wearing some rubber off the tires and came upon this old work horse barreling down the road ahead of me. Brought a smile to my face and a few old memories to mind, Enjoy! :-)
  2. Some of the old trunk lights utilize a mercury switch to activate the light when lid is lifted.
  3. Thought I would offer up a bit of eye-candy from the Shriner's show. Been attending this charity event for 20 years with my daughter. In In the last few years this has become our farewell event, as she heads back to collage making this the last event of the season together. This years portfolio was taken by her, ENJOY! https://flic.kr/s/aHsm3aGj7K
  4. Is this a recent issue that has occurred or an existing condition that has never been addressed? The reason I ask is in the past I've encountered vacuum line that were leaking due to age which effected heater/AC controls/functions. In some cases it was just a matter of gaining access to the hose(s) in question and just clipping a bit off the end due to minor splitting that had occurred with age. Afterwards in most cases all worked as it should. If you don't have a '67 SM I recommend you secure one it have all the vacuum schematics.
  5. WOW, What a treat to see more then one Oakland. I will always gravitate to the pre 60s cars over all others. These models are just becoming fewer and fewer seen out anymore with little to no hope of new interested in them Thanks for some great pics!

  7. DING DING ! I knew our age group would know, I was testing the young-ens We were lucky, it was early and very little activity going on. I made several passes in front of the Depository allowing Tony to take a lot of pictures in hopes to capture a good one. Mission accomplished :-) This parked image had to be cleaned up a bit...

  13. For those who like Shiny Machines here are some images from our road trip north of Fort Worth up to Nocona TX. I had found this museum online prior to leaving and wanted to check it out. We drove the hell out of the Little Indian racking up near 300 miles in 3 days. This place was in the middle of nowhere. The link will take you to some of ever increasing inventory of this personal collection of machines called the HORTON CLASSIC CAR MUSEUM, I was floored by this collection of great cars, Enjoy! https://flic.kr/s/aHsm126fWD

  21. Nice! I would love to see details/images during your install, so I can add them to my file on this option. Below is the sw cutout / templates spec sheet page from the service manual, It may be of use? Just for the heck of it, here is a pic from an article of the switch in what is said to be 1 of only 2 known 1970 GTO Judges to have documented PFV's. A very rare/interesting little known option for sure. Best of luck with your install!
  22. That is indeed a very rare option. I've never seen a complete set-up. Does your '69 have this option? For the most part motor goes in via the interior cowl panels per service manual. But to me it looks like there's a lot more involved. Not sure if you have these sheets and/or if they will help; 1st page is from the parts book. 2nd page from the '69 service manual. Cheers.
  23. If you haven't already, reach out To Peter he is IMHO the go-to guy for gauge parts & service. http://precisionpontiac.net/Rally_Gauges.aspx
  24. Grey lead should/would be gauge lighting. Shown here from a page in the service manual;
