  1. Fun fact: put flowmasters on one of these and you'd think it was a muscle car.
  2. Might be trading wheels again this weekend. Found out info on my new to me BBS LM replicas...and they aren't STR wheels...had a wheel off for cleaning when I noticed a label on the barrel..."YSM type 944". So I googled it...and didn't like what I saw. The YSM wheel company is just a fly by night Chinese brand that apparently will only sell wholesale...by the container full. Nothing but complaints about bent wheels and shoddy quality. I put up the wheels for trade on a few local wheel groups. Found somebody who wants to trade. I'll be going back to 17" wheels, but it's a splitspoke design in matte bronze. Proper tire size and the wheels aren't staggered, so I agreed. Finding wheels out here can be sketchy. But, that's apart of the adventure I suppose.
  3. I need to find out if Forza 6 doesn't suck yet. It's the only reason I'll jump ship to the Xbone.
  4. The exact same issue plagued my pop's 2009 Cadillac DTS.
  5. Ouch, $100 for brand new centercaps from STR. Eh, the PayPal invoice is sitting in my email when I need them. Yay technology!
  6. So Sunday I ended up trading my Si wheels for these: Don't mind the BBS centercaps, they're being replaced soon. They're STR 601s (BBS LM replicas) 18x8.5 +35 offset They sit great but need a small amount of TLC. I needed a project anyway.
  7. Considering my coupe has only really costed me $200 in repairs in over two years so far, I rather did enjoy a simple fix this time.
  8. Welcome to the forums! Flowmasters aren't the best, both for actual exhaust flow and they all rot easily. The Flowmaster 80 series on my old Grand Am couldn't even survive four winters. Magnaflow is pricey, but worth every penny.
  9. It's Dajiban! If you're wondering how the locals got their hands on these in the first place, they're all decommissioned from military use from US bases on Japan. They've done some crazy real performance mods to make any vanner in the states impressed.
  10. Fixed the rattle underneath the coupe. Sure enough it was the shield for the main catalytic converter. Took two heavy duty hose clamps, combined them for one to fit the diameter of the cat, tightened it down and no more noise! I love it when $4 fixes an issue on your car.
  11. Need to detail Sparky this weekend, the wax on it is finally starting to give up after two years. Auto Glym is quite impressive. Also need to get the car on a lift this weekend at work, I believe a heat shield has come loose by the downpipe. It rattles when the car starts up, and when it's hot. Last week the passenger side window motor died on me, and like every window motor, they decide to kick the bucket halfway going up. Find an aftermarket motor with a regulator on Rock Auto for $61 shipped, arrived at my apartment in two days. Took 15 minutes to install too, who knew they were a piece of cake to install. Almost traded my Si wheels straight for another set of wheels the other day, kid had a set of BBS LM replicas, the mesh face was gold. Would have looked great on my silver coupe...18x8.5, 35 offset with fairly new 225/40 R18 tires on them, only to find out the guy lived in upstate NY, 260 miles away. Oh well, I keep surfing for wheels.
  12. He was googling about signal switch issues for a 2007 G6. We had to have been on the second page or so for it to pop up.
  13. I see one of my FB friends post in a group I'm in...and what do you know...he was searching for info on G6s and found our site, but mainly it was me he recognized, hehe.
  14. Once I know Forza 6 isn't a flop like 5 was, I'll be jumping to the One. Need to backup my hard drive though, now that the One will be reverse compatible, no way in hell am I losing my Forza 4 files. Three years went into that game.
  15. I do like the EU's regulations the best however. Seperate stop, tail and turn signals just make more sense, as does the rear fog.
  16. Remember, Fiat owns the likes of Alfa Romeo. Alfa cross bred Pontiacs? Yes pls.
  17. Those trucks like to eat tie rod ends, and you see what it does to tires. I might suspect the ball joints as well because of the inner wear. Oh GM, you sure know how to make truck IFS setups... If fluids are overdue, I'd service the front diff...I know that's another issue with that platform.
