  1. Justa's all over it!!!! Old news to me, where ya guys been? Injection is nice, but I'd rather be BLOWN. LMAO Did ya know the V6 was originally a JEEP motor. GM bought it, minor casting changes to accept GM tranney and used til 1978. But it was in the ODD fire confiuration. Re-engineered to even fire in 1979, and they created a potential monster. Smokey Yunik and Jim Ruggles quickly worked their magic, showing us all how to make huge power. MacClaren took it to new heights and went INDY racing and was a force to be reconed with. I couldn't believe the 6 in my testdrive and ordered my Sunbird. Been LOVE ever since.
  2. Thank you. I'm not a Widetracker member, was able to get Gold Eagle products to donate, goodie bag material, doorprizes and I will be representing Coolrides and have a trophy to hand out as well. Justa tryin to help out my FAVORITE show for the last 25yrs. LOL The site looks like a good place to find parts. Good luck with the moving. I couldn't imagine moving all my stuff.
  3. As my freshly painted frame N undercarrage has not seen dirt yet. I'm not gonna take er down my dirt/mudd roads this weekend. Looks like the constant rain we have had here all day, will continue through the weekend. We need a fustrated/angry smiley.
  4. WOW thats Baaaaaaad. Guess we are lucky to be in America. It rains cats N dogs here.
  5. Congrat's well deserved.
  6. Your absolutely right. Was the 4.1 turbo crank/rods I have spinnin in the Sunbird. Was gonna say, you should know Chevy and Buick parts are not interchangable. LOL Was given part #'s and the dealership said they wouldn't work. Tried em anyway and was able to pick them up @ Drayton Plains parts warehouse. Gawd that was a long time ago. When did I have TIME to get this old? Also, the 4.1 head gaskets had to be modified, but was the only ones I could keep IN the engine. I can no longer get em, so I hope this setup last me alot longer! Will see you next weekend @ the show.
  7. Rotate the front tires to the rear. If you still have the shakes, but can't feel it in the steering wheel. One of the two in the back has belts comming apart. Justa something to try.
  8. Does that mean scraping the burn't sticky stuff off the bottom of the pan?
  9. Both are awesome automotive events. Indy racing....if it comes down to a choice.
  10. Sweet seats! Expensive, but nice.
  11. This place is soooo cool. Was able to drive my Sunbird on the road course and the banked oval for a open house back for GM's 75th anniversary. I was invited by a test driver friend who had to ride with me. Also was able to tour the testing/prototype buildings as well. Had every intention of making it this weekend to the Power tour and was invited to display the Sunbird with the Sta-bil rig. Can't afford insurance on both Hot rods right now. A-ho's N elbows on the GTO to try and make it over there. It's only 20 min from my house. 1st leg only, not headin to Grand Rapids.
  12. I don't recall the Chev 4.3 as an option. (NOT claiming to know) The Buick 4.3 was used to beef up my internals on the 3.8 that came in my Bird. Tips N help from Buick engineers that went nuts over my engine @ the Sloan show in flint.
  13. Guess I meant to say counterpart to GN. This one @ the show had a turbo V-6 and sure looked factory.
  14. LMAO you probably don't remember the Hot Wheels cartoon show on Saturday AM's.
  15. It does look like a model display...those guys go into great detail.
  16. I have always loved the 67 Cougars lights. By far one of the showiest upgrades I've made to the car. 75.00 well spent. You do have to figure out the conversion from Ford to GM, but wasn't hard to figure out. http://www.webelectricproducts.com/products.htm
  17. I'm sure he would love to spend the time cruisen with ya. Being new here, the 1st person to contact me was Frosty. Right away he said he knew my car and had posted pic's on here from a show last year. When he told me what he drove and I looked back in my photos, I had a pic of his car too. Which I posted and he confirmed was his. Being nice to new friend I nominated his car. Then was bummed when I saw you were nominated too. He doesn't even have pic's of his car in his garage N has been here for years. I would have voted for you hands down. MY BAD. Good luck in the contest. All entries are awesome rides.
  18. All are awesome examples of Pontiac Power. Good luck to everyone. My vote is for Frosty N his 72 vert. The only car I've seen in person and is simply beautiful.
  19. Added sequential lights to the 66 GTO. Brakes blast from inside lights to the outside, then stay on while pedal is depressed. Turnsig's inside to outside (direction of turn) Had a cop follow me home (from a test flight..LOL) sayin he didn't remember GTO lights doing that. I live on dirt roads so alot of 5mph cruisin. Kept waitin for him to hit his lights N stop me, but he was cool.
  20. Still wanna see the date photos. I know you had her posing by the car. LOL
  21. It'sa SUMO wrestlers car....and he walks the same way.
