This is some monster isopod that lives at 8500 feet. It hopped aboard an ROV (remote operated vehicle) and made his surface debut. It's 2.5 feet long and apparently eats dead stuff that sinks to the bottom. I'd say it's nasty.

Long ago, things like this roamed the land. Pre-dinosaurs, when oxygen was plentiful and could sustain giant bugs that breathe through their skin, there were mutants like this everywhere.

Current oxygen levels up here will not allow that...for now.
