  • I saw Alex and 2007 Sky and wondered if you were over there or not. I live on the Solstice and Kappa Performance forums - it's like crack cocaine. I saw this forum and really like it here - awesome

  • Dr. Dave is supposed to release a ZFR kit this month (May). I will wait to see what he has to offer before going to PAW. I like the PAW kit, but Dave is local to me and if he has something comparable

Snagged some new front wheel well liners because mines waz crackin. I hope to get that done this weekend.  Should be an easy replacement. Shipping on those was as much as the parts.    So I have the AEM methanol kit install and new tune scheduled for August 6-7. Dr. Dave from DDMWorks will also install my AEM Boost and Failsafe gauges in their A-pillar pod. Hope I can at least hit 320hp with that upgrade. I am going to replace the plugs in the car before that as well. Only wish there was someone close that could (would, actually) do the intake valve cleaning before my tune. BMW and Audi turned me down - their cars only.

Hmmm...gotta think real hard on that one.  Maybe if you bring your own go juice (meth).  Lots of it  :)

Looking at these for the Sol - O.Z. UltraLeggra staggered set - 18x8/18x9.  On the fence about black on black, but these will add a nice stance to the rear and are the right off-set for the car.

Getting close to the Meth install starting this Thursday - cannot wait for that. Dr. Dave said I would get about 330 whp out of the Meth install/Tune he is doing. Nice.   :)  I'll make sure I get some decent pics of the install.

nice looking rims. how light are they?

Supposedly 18.6 and 19.2 respectively

Stock runs ~26lbs. So a decent ~9lb difference in weight. On another note, I like these too and they are bit less in price. Also in the color for my car.

Forgestar F14 - 18x8.5 F / 18x9.5 R. That would allow stock tire size 245/45R18 front and 275/40R18 rear. These fall into the same weight as the OZs. So that's a plus.  :clapping:

Pics show the bigger 275/40R18s for the rear.

Finally get the meth kit installed and a new tune tomorrow. I'll get good pics and post. Cannot wait for this so I can move onto the turbo next.

Finally got the meth kit installed and a tune done - all I can say is WOW!! I gained 5lbs boost (to 26psi) and 5 degrees timing. Car pulls like a banshee now. The tune smoothed out the engine too. This is one of the best things I have done so far for the car. DDM also installed an AEM boost gauge and failsafe gauge in the DDM a-pillar gauge pod.

DDM just released their EFR-6758 kit, so that is next along with a new clutch. Too much power for the stock clutch. Last will be the engine build and I should be set. After a talk with Dave, I think I will drop my expectation to 450-475 whp. More than that will require fueling changes I don't want to get into. So with Meth, the turbo and an engine bottom-end build, I can get to those numbers on 93 oct gas. That's fine by me.

Just got an offer from a Sky owner to sell me his Perfromance Autowerks WR-3 ZFR-6758 turbo kit - that gets me the turbo I want.  The current clutch cannot handle the power I am making.  So...I need a clutch BAD.  Next buy will be DDM's clutch (500hp) so I can transfer that power to the backend. I'll throw some pics up when the turbo kit comes in. That will be a DIY project.

There's a youtube of a solstice running this turbo pulling 463whp/443tq without methanol. I understand there is a point where fuel is an issue, but I believe that point is greater tthan 480whp. So with meth I sould be able to get to ~470whp with a bottom end rebuild. But I'll leave it at ~450 and call it good. That should be crazy power regardless.

that will be an awesome ride!
