I took Lucy out for the first cruise of the season on Saturday to the local burger joint cruise in Flushing Mi - a former A&W. The cruise is held every 3rd Saturday between April to October. It was in the low 70s and sunny. So the boy and I put the top down and headed out. Clearly everyone else was itching to get their cars out based on the cars that showed up.

I liked the orange one for dechoming the bumpers and making them body color. It worked for that car. The interior was not to my liking though. Sterring wheel was too modern, modern radio and shifter. It didn't have a good vibe -

That's doesn't sounds like a smart thing to do if you want repeat attendees. Now was this a cruise or a regular car show?

Yes it was. It was also badged as a W-30 car too stratman.

A '69 W-30 would have red plastic fenderwells and ram air ducting that would draw the air from under the front bumper. But, as you know with old cars, parts like that can get replaced or go missing after 46 years, so, if it didn't have them, it still may be a W-30. Unfortunatly for Olds collectors, I don't think they have anything like PHS to verify their cars.

Annual car show. Been there many times. Almost went home and grabbed the GTO, JUSTA for the free lunch. LOL Guess I missed the real estate sign out front advertising the event. Oh well, had my power washer torn apart in a pile of parts. Found a broken O ring. Replaced all.

You are correct stratman. There is no equivalent of PHS for Oldsmobile, sadly. So we should tip our hat to Jim Maddison and PHS for the service they provide. The red W-30 inner fenders are probably re-poped by now. Olds owners have to find the build sheet under the back seat or on top of the gas tank - assuming it isn't totally shredded to pieces.
