Featured Replies

I have a framed Chief Pontiac framed painting signed by Jerry Farnsworth with a plaque, originally hung in a Pontiac dealership in the 50's. anybody know the value of these?

Very hard to say as to how many are still out there. Remembering that Pontiac likely gave out hundreds of these.

I would say contact Tim owner/operator of the Pontiac Museum.

Cool, thanks a lot man

While it's rare, This painting/picture is all over here in Pontiac, MI. I went to Pontiac Central High School and it was in many schools in the system. It is still the logo for my credit union. We had a statue of this POSE in the school as well. I would LOVE to have that!

JUSTA is quite correct - just remember that this Jerry Farnsworth print was commercially available for quite a long time, not just to Pontiac dealers and divisional offices, but to schools, libraries, and historical societies all across the country, so the value may not be very high. Clearly it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Good luck find out what it is worth from Tim Dye. If the print has a certain history or provenance, it will be worth more than others.

I can't believe it. After JUSTA mentioning the Wooden Chief in your post. (and wondering what happened to it) This guy was in my class and the CHIEF is now in city Hall. This pic was on the front page of the paper earlier this week!
