Top Gear US returns tonight on HISTORY at 9pm EST.

What are you guy's thoughts on the show? I quite like it. It's not at the caliber of UK but it's still a great show to enjoy and a lot better than most shows on now.

Yup, I remember that. That was the pure copy of Top Gear UK's.

Top Gear US sucks. They have no appreciation for anything other than "hot" cars and what their advertisers tell them to like. Once in a while they will do something worth watching but they're mostly entertaining to the ignorant masses.

I don't think it's comparable to Top Gear UK but it's not a half bad show as everyone makes it out to be. If they gave Adam the boot, I wouldn't be too sad as I don't think he's a true gearhead.

That's the same episode that they forgot to set the parking brake on the steep hill and the Fiero rolled down the hill and hit the parked Cutlass too. I think the Roadmaster won their "competition". Agreed with the results, just not their asinine antics to get there.

Have to say I'm with May and Hammond here. I have been enjoying this season a lot, minus the most recent episode with the school bus. I think the presenters are coming in to their own. I am getting a little tired of Tanner always "winning" the challenge at the end because he is the driver and get's to test drive the fancy car at the end. Think Rut can do a pretty good test drive, though he may not have the driving skills to do a challenge like Tanner. I am not a huge fan of Adam (as I think I metioned in this thread) but still think that the segment he did with the Ford GT was good and he should be given a chance too. It's sort of like TG UK, Clarkson does a lot of tests but Hammond and May get a lot during a season as well.

the bus thing was ok till when they pulled the "modified" bus out and it wasn't even the same bus they drove in with.

i'm glad they did away with the star in a reasonably priced car thing
