Osama bin Laden is dead.

Featured Replies

Our government reported today, 10:42pm EST, that Osama was killed by a team of Navy SEALs and Special Forces soldiers, during a +40 minute operation infiltrating a compound housing Osama in Pakistan.

It's all over the news, TV, radio and internet.

Crowds gathered around the White House, and at Ground Zero, NY.

Chopping the head off the Taliban could be seen as a good and bad thing. First off, he's now going to be seen as a martyr by his followers, and they might fight back three times as hard. Now is the time for the US military to finish off whatever is left of the Taliban while any sort of leadership has been nullified. A new leader may by being looked over as we speak.

Tits or GTFO... I mean, pics or it didn't happen.

I agree with the martyr possibility, he might have more power in death then in hiding.

And why kill him? Why not make him pay for his crimes, death is an easy out. (especially to someone who would view death as a victory)

From what I've gathered, the Navy SEALs were trying to take him alive, but Osama and his guards/militia offered heavy resistance. He was killed in the crossfire.

I heard the same thing. SEALs went in after being dropped in via UH-60. There was stiff resistance with a heavy firefight and he was killed in the crossfire. They took his body and then exfiltrated rapidly.

There was a reported UH-60 crashing sometime during the mission.

This just in. The US didn't kill him. He killed himself because he was fed up with the Playstation Network because he couldn't play Portal 2 with Bush.

I'd be buttfrustrated too, Portal 2 is the shit.

Not surprised he went down fighting. But apparently a chopper was downed during the mission and the US forces later destroyed the chopper's remains...interesting. I know the process of destroying downed craft to prevent tech from falling into enemy hands.

Yep, it is protocol. They do it to prevent high-tech stuff from getting into the wrong hands. They did the same thing in Somalia with Super 6-4 and Super 6-1.

I find this quite odd actually that we get intel on where he was go in and he gets caught in crossfire and boom dead. I dunno if since Obama became president I don't trust what this man says at all, let alone the media but just something with elections around the corner and we find Bin Ladin under Obama...

I just don't like how during the elections Obama was totally against the war when that was being popular and now that elections are around the corner and his approval rating is the worse in US history, he finds Bin Ladin and now everybody likes him again. I really think Obama is trying to up himself, especially with the birth certificate as well.

I'll believe it when you tell me how we can compare his DNA and show me pics of him...

BUT I don't want to take away from the troops they did an above excellent job at what they were ordered to do and came out with a successful mission, good job!

Meh sorry I love this country too much to just take everything they say at full face value. I feel challenging the government is what will keep them intact, not hanging on every word they say. If they prove me wrong with actual tangible facts then I'll agree and move on.

Till then I'm happy if Bin Laden is really dead but feel this was too easy for him.

Osama isn't dead. He's on an island with Biggie, Tupac and Michael Jackson.

i always thought he was hiding out in the cast of MAD TV lol :rofl:

His sister.

See this is where it gets nitty gritty, when you compare people's DNA of a family. DNA has alleles and you're comparing what alleles match up, I believe 7 but could be wrong (been a while since I've taken biology) then you're immediate family, otherwise you go down the line. This is how "blood" relatives can be determined.

Bin Laden had a lot of siblings and relatives (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bin_Laden_family), basically all a DNA test can narrow down, that is not his own, is that it was someone from x part of his family and male that was killed. You can't get a definite answer and say it was Osama just by comparing his sisters DNA, you then have to utilize other inferences from the information gathered.

Now if it was his own and we established it through a worthwhile contact and/or hands-on experience then I would literally shut up and admit I'm wrong. All I want people to do is think about what they read and hear, all of it isn't lies but think and make your own decisions with ALL the information you're given.

Also this is an end to this, I feel some bad tones. If you wish to discuss this further please PM me.
