These went on clearance at Home Depot about a year ago so I picked one up. Good little unit for cutting out body panels and some light frame work but I would not want to use it for 3/8" steel all day. Since I bought this I have almost all stopped the use of my grinder for cutting out body steel. So far I love to use it but it does have its limitations. I have found the electrodes do get burned up quit quick but some of the work I do is not the cleanest. This does nice precise cuts with very little clean up.

Nice, $1200 puts it pretty low on my list of wants but it sounds like it would work pretty well.

Burned up contacts suggest that your air isn't quite as dry as it could be.

When it went on clearance it was sold for $650.00 so I picked it up. Thanks Pro I will see about adding an extra air dryer to the system see if that helps. I went through 2 in the trunk of the Chevelle but at $10.00 for four maybe I should not complain about cost.

I am officially jealous! Bad enough that I have to goto DK's with Tim Horton's Timbits in my hand to borrow his TIG or his soda blaster. Dang, I need to get some more expensive toys.

Well you may have to come over to use it. I will add 8 ounces of water to 12 ounce can of Molson Canadian and it will be like drinking Budweiser.
