Reunited after 40 yrs Formula 400 RAIII

I just got the 70 Formula 400 Ram Air III that I owned from 79-82 back in my possession after 40 yrs.

The car is very rough. Same guy sat on it for 20 yrs. I finally talked him out of it after 10 yrs.

This Formula was my first car and first car to build when I was 17.

It is a pHS documented RAIII car. I still have the original bill of sale from 1970. I have saved it for 40 yrs hoping I would get the car back someday.
I have restored many cars over the last 40 yrs but this one is special. At 57 it will probably be my last.

I am now looking for correct parts to restore it. I have been out of the Pontiac circle for 40 yrs having done many Mopars and military vehicles.

Very glad to be back.

I still have the Texas tags in the pic from 1982. They will stay with the car.

Will do. First thing is to find parts.

Since the original RA III motor is gone, what type of restoration are you thinking of doing at this point?

A near concurs restoration with a date code correct RA III motor? Resto mod - with a suped up Pontiac or LS engine?

Welcome to FP. Glad you were able to find your Formula. You are saving it from a slow and certain death. We need to see more Formulas .
