i heard it is a SOB to do...

While i am in there i want to replace it with one of those SUPER BRIGHT WTF LOL LEDs. so that you can see my plate from 3 miles away.

seriously... i got the run around for about 45 min because i didnt have a light. man i felt like i was a common drug runner from columbia to texas.... but i didt have heroine breast implants... lol

its easy. two bolts in the bumper, push up and pull the assembly down through, then turn the bulb out of the assembly pull the bulb out and replace.

let me know which bulb you get.

The hardest part is getting the assembly out of the bumper, which can be a pain. But all in all, pretty easy.

yea make sure u get a hold of it so it doesnt fall down into the bumper i used a red one from ebay which dont it just shoots to the right and lights up only half the plate but o well

Figured I'd revive this topic cause I got pulled over last night for my tag light being out, erggg... Got a warning, purchased a replacement this morning: Pontiac G6 Tag Light Replacement - Adavance Auto


 


On the plus side in my Google search for a good tag light replacement, this topic came up as #1 result :woot:
